People keep asking me, and I haven't really had an answer, but now yeah, I'm thinking I'm back.

  • Still in court IIRC

  • Return the slab but chrome.

  • Amanda thinks turning in her algebra homework 15 years late will earn her at least partial credit.

  • Here's a sort open-faced compliment sandwich.

You were smart enough to avoid shitty media like cable news, FM talk radio, manosphere podcasts, so you avoided the propaganda that those channels were spewing.

But this left you blind to how many people either a) don't have access to better forms of media and education, or b) actively seeked out the propaganda.

I don't really have a top bun for this sandwich.

  • mbin does federate e.g. @syuilo@misskey.io, the founder/lead developer of misskey. I can at least see the text content of their posts and replies, but not image attachments and reactions.

  • Any argument that the voters themselves are wrong is an indictment of democracy itself.

That's a lot of words you seem to be putting in my mouth there friend. These aren't mutually exclusive ideas. I can blame voters for not showing up to the polls and still see the value in a democratic government.

If Palestine is getting bombed no matter what happens, the only voters who are coming out are the ones who want Palestine bombed.

And I thought I had the hot take, holy shit. This is simultaneously an argument to disenfranchise ourselves from the democratic process AND the assumption that those who did participate in the electoral process, regardless of their actual beliefs, are automatically pro-genocide. I'm actually astounded that this is your argument. This is a greater rejection of democracy than anything I said. It's insane.

  • You may be able to register with a Misskey instance that isn't Japanese but still federates with misskey.io. For instance, I made an account on misskey.social which is an Italian-based instance. I still see posts from misskey.io, from anybody there that I follow.

Not sure what it looks like as a guest, but when I set my feed filter to "Global", it is lightning fast. If you set that filter to "Social" you'll see only who you follow, which will naturally slow it down.

Be warned that misskey.io has a lot of R34 art on it - keep that Sensitive Media blur up and running.

  • Thank you for providing this insight. My grandparents did not speak English, I can only imagine that they were similarly disinformed by the limited access to media from their native tongue.

  • Of course I'm blaming the voters. We had a job to do, a responsibility which we clearly failed to do. Our job is to make the best decision possible at the voting booth, not wait for idiots to make the decision for us while we make popcorn and complain we didn't also get candy and a soda.

  • I suppose you mean the limitations per diem on voting is what encouraged the hive mind, but even without those limitations Reddit and Lemmy have developed hive minds of their own, with similarly SOHC behaviors.

  • I wish Mbin had even a fraction of the childlike whimsy that Misskey has.

I also miss old school PHP bulletin board systems, which had similar emoji style votes where each one had different meanings, probably similar to what the op was talking about.

  • Gaza is almost certainly not the only reason. We also have Latinos for Trump, the Right Wing Podcast pipeline, endemic sexism, and endemic racism to thank.

  • There was only one?

  • Captain Matteas Torres runs DHS?

  • To be fair to others less knowledgeable, I've seen first hand someone admitting they joined .ml because it was the first/largest server they learned about, not knowing it was a marxist-leninist joint, and they were asking how to transfer their account up on outta there. That was a fun thread lol

My point is, just like we can't judge people based on their national origin, we shouldn't judge people from their home instance. But as a general rule, yeah .ml reeks lol

  • Increasingly harder to tell the difference since 2014.

  • My goal was achieved then

Sir, this is a small consolation prize for failing to understand my meaning.

Due Process is for EVERYONE. Implying that it is a privilege only afforded to this camp or that camp is exactly what the Republicans are doing right now. This guy either A) didn't care that the person he voted for was threatening to take it away from "other people," or B) didn't even know what he was doing at all. But who cares what knot was used in the binding?

  • Ceballos also acknowledged that he “probably” voted for Kobach and former president Donald Trump several times because he automatically selects the candidates with an “R” beside their names.

Like many voters in rural Comanche County on the Oklahoma border, Ceballos said he “always voted for all the Republicans.”

Stupid or Evil don't make no difference to me, he's getting what's coming to him.

“I feel for Joe and the community, and I hope it can get worked out in the legal system,” Hoffman said.

How about the other thousands of people who had a right to Due Process but have been kidnapped or murdered by ICE? This guy is special? GTFO.
