Thanks, although my psyche is kind of forcing me to speedrun this awakening because every day of my life that I couldn’t form a secure attachment was incredibly painful. Like, imagine that you’re on fire for every day of your life since you gained consciousness. Then you discover the existence of water at age 21, and it takes 2 more years to find enough of it to put yourself out. And then you’re left with physical scars for the rest of your life due to the unholy amounts of stress you’ve been under the whole time. Don’t get me wrong, I’m so, SO glad to not be on fire anymore and this is literally the least horrible time of my life so far, but the lasting physical effects of being on fire for so long have radically altered my life trajectory to the point where I’m definitely going to need to lean on those secure attachments.

Phew, I was on the edge of my seat. I can really empathize. Glad she's good now. The other day my dumb orange swallowed the trash bag's long plastic ribbon (the thing meant to tie off the bag when full) and I had to pull it out of him centimeter by centimeter... luckily no harm in the end but that was stressful
I read this story in some french paper a few months ago, I was stunned and shocked. Can you imagine putting someone in such a position of vulnerability? Just drugging someone on its own, but then premeditating the whole walk so that there's no toilet nearby, that's some fucked up shit.
On my island generally people are very close-knit (at the village level) and unfortunately give too much credit to right-aligned politicians, especially when it comes to immigration. The place is a migration crossroads, and there's always vultures ready to rile people up for political gain. Otherwise very community-minded, kind people who are abundantly helpful and welcoming. Make it make sense
