  • I switched from lemmy to piefed a few months ago. Most of my experience has been pretty much the same, though I do find that I have to block fewer people/communities to curate my experience on piefed. To use an analogy, piefed feels like lemmy with safesearch enabled. I like the experience with piefed more, but its a fairly marginal difference imo and I'd be fine to move back to lemmy if piefed went down or something

  • Assuming the probability distribution falls off like a gaussian, I'd guess something like 3.5 to 4 times as large. I dont remember if that specific probability density function is gaussian or not, but assuming a distribution falls off like a gaussian is usually a safe bet

  • I think the problem is less horny 14yos and more the fact that they listen to scum like Andrew Tate or the Paul brothers growing up. I see so many teenagers who live a life where the only voice in their life that speaks positively of/to them is the chud on social media trying to groom them into an angry incel. Let's be better than blaming children for the fact that we as a society have given up the act of raising kids in favor of generating more shareholder value. Given that the people in charge (US perspective) dont give a shit about us beyond our productivity, $2tril of economic damage is probably exactly the same to them as being hit by a nuke.   • Pedantically, I think you could call muon tomography an antimatter imaging method. It doesnt explicitly use antimatter as a probe, but you do often measure products of antimatter decay or decay products that are antimatter themselves when doing it (depending on how much fidelity you need on the structure being imaged). I say pedantically because I assume you meant medical imaging methods and muon tomography doesnt have medical applications afaik
