  • That just sounds like a bunch of unnecessary work for no real gain.

  • They have a lot of government contracts for AWS. There's a reason he's kissing Trumps ass. I'm not really sure why he and the rest of them are still involved with the companies at all and not just fucking off with their millions. I'd be somewhere else not dealing with political bullshit.

  • Fuck if i know

  • From what I read he's the sole dev on three different large projects and ignoring issue requests.

  • After seeing that the creator of Pixelfed is also the single Deb dev of two other big projects and is trying to crowdsourse money for it, in a bit hesitant until they allow other people to work on the project and make sure it's not just a pump and dump.

  • Flip a coin because I don tlike unlucky people

  • Make up a fake concern that they would be angry about. Get them to organize a protest, but at some right wing leaders house or something. Not illegal to mislead people.

  • Name all the bones in your body

  • It's manufactured outrage, they did the same thing with abortion. Nobody cared about it before the Republican party started telling people to care about it.

  • Dickheads are more worried about fundraising than actually winning. Nothing but internal bickering and wild assumptions about demographics and taking people for granted.

  • It's a distraction. People won't care about tax cuts and tariffs if they have something like this to be furious about. Honestly, I'd never really heard of or thought about a trans person until that manufactured bathroom bill all those years ago. I just assumed there were crossdressers and maybe a few people who got sex changes occasionally. Even then I was confused as fuck why it was something to worry about.

  • The truly political move from the legislator would be to let them storm the capital. If you kill them all, then that makes you look bad. You let them do it, and it makes Trump an insurrectionist.

  • Companies can start their own instance or make accounts on others. Instance owners can charge companies to allow them on their instance.

There's plenty of companies that people enjoy interacting with. We have an entire instance dedicated to Star Trek.

  • There is, just not a lot and not for a giant central company that controls it.

You can have a private instance, you can have premium accounts on instances, companies can have their own instance.

  • I think there's ways to block ads through DNS or using a VPN. You can set up pinhole at home and tunnel into it, but that's a bit technical.

  • Issue with that, at least in the u.s. is that stores often give you points that accumulate that can be redeemed for certain dollar amounts or a big discount on a single purchase.

  • There was a time you could get an AARP credit card that had 5% cashback, you don't have to be a certain age to join AARP in order to get the card. At the same time the federal reserve was letting people buy quarters in bulk without any shipping fees. So, order thousands in quarters, take them straight to the bank, repeat.

  • Not really that hard if you've touched a car in the past 25 years.
