I'm a human being, god damn it. My life has value.

  • We should, and it should be called the Logan's Run law, to give them something to think about

  • This depends on the information and the recipient, every single time. Genuine understanding between two minds is more rare and precious than gold, and it fades all too quickly. It is like a flower once picked. You tend that garden if you want more than one.

  • Sorry to bother, autocorrect is dire these days isn't it?

  • Carte blanche, i.e. blank check. Just sharing in case that wasn't a typo

  • No advice yet as I'm in the same exact boat. We're about to get ours evaluated for ADHD privately while unconvinced it's the best option... Ours is young enough that he doesn't really have memories of the US and started school here, but still comes off as blatantly American. It's been a comedy of errors learning how the school system works (putting him and my wife through school the last 3 years, somehow).

But hey, hit me up if you're ever out near Kent, I figure I owe you a pint or three for all the work you do to keep things fresh on Lemmy.

  • Why are chickens so cool?

    B'caws

    Knock knock

    Owls

    Owls whoo

    Yes they do

  • Finally, a genuine connection

  • Go 'way mom I'm asking Jeeves! It's for homework!

    Types "boob porno sex"

  • Beeeeeeeeee BRRRRRRRR waDONg brDONG tshhhhhhhhhhhh TSHHHHHHHHHHHPTBHPTHBBPT

  • Did you have to peg me that hard before we've even met

  • Downvote farmer detected

  • They did use to wear salmon as a hat. Orcas are built different.

  • That ain't me, I barely post... Though I do sometimes say too much.

A lot more ink is going to be spilled on this as it unfolds, and that too is what the people voted for - drama.

  • You think I'm being melodramatic? Historians make careers on turning points like this. We can never know exactly what will happen next, but we can at least be sure that normality is not on the menu.

  • This election is likely going to be looked back on as the point when things became completely untenable in the 21st century. The American empire will implode, billions will suffer, the climate emergency will accelerate to maximum, and geopolitical dynamics will become incredibly unstable. Shit is about to go fully awry. This was it, and the people who are already bored about it have played no small part in getting us here.

  • Tea is a globally consumed drink that predates the country that made the country she's from, so "let's be honest" there's no excuse. It's nearly as severe as never having heard of pepper.

  • Cheers. One shop I worked at split tips with everyone, even the dish pit. That was fucking legit. I had to get out though, food stops being fun cooking for strangers.

  • I was back of house, so I have difficulty with this. Forget tipping people with the IQ of a crayon for shit I don't want.
