Worse moderation than Reddit subs. Will ban any views that don’t fit their narratives. Just got a server wide ban for giving links showing how the ceasefire was reached by promising the right wing factions more of the West Bank as Trumps largest donor intended.
Lots of ADHD so have no real control over it. I work on what interests me. Luckily in a position where I don’t have hours or anyone who checks up on me. No schedules or planning I just run between new shiny ideas or putting out fires.
Generally end up working ~12hr days anyway. But doesn’t really feel like work because I enjoy doing the same kinda things in my spare time.
Haven’t been in an office since 2016 or so and hated every minute of it prior. Could never make it on time, opted out of the dress code, automated a lot of my work with macros and just messed around on the web.
It is how it should work though. Outlook could absolutely make a ‘log in with Gmail’ button. And the fediverse UX should be seamless to compete not this fragmented mess it is currently.
The lack of decentralisation atm is not inherent and reflects the early growth stage. If they started to act like wanks there’d be a greater push to fork and build up parallel instances. Last I checked they were still working on improving the scalability of the protocol before building it out.
It’s so weird to me that people still use Facebook. Nobody under 40 uses Facebook. The women use insta sure but literally what are you going on Facebook for. It’s only boomer hate groups on there now
