Honestly I’m on the fence about yanking the DHS funding. Trump is just going to fund ICE through other piles of money that he got in the BBB and that he’ll just start cutting other more critical services. Like FEMA, which is under the DHS.
If the Dems can effectively communicate that Trump is using FEMA, TSA, and coastguard money for ICE, then they should cut funding. But I’m not particularly confident about the Dems ability to communicate this. Hell, a lot of people don’t even realize that Trump can still fund ICE if Dems holdback DHS funding. They have not effectively communicated this.
It’s a pretty purple district and, although Trump won big in this district, they tend to vote blue for the local stuff, and this Democrat replaced an incumbent democrat.
Only problem is size. Color lasers are chonky compared to a color inkjet. And a small printer is nice if you only print a handful of times a year. They’re easier to shove in a drawer or closer.
The days of me dedicating 24/7 desk space to a printer is over in my house.
I feel like Bruce is probably not what a lot of these guys were listening to in high school. A lot of them look like they’re under 40. The Boss’ core audience is Gen X. Born to Run was 1975.

We also need some sort of way to prevent heads from drying out so quickly.
Printer companies know heads dry out, and they ship tanks with caps / tape for prevent dry out on retail store shelves. But once the tanks are installed, printers just leave the heads exposed to the air. Like a pen without a cap, the tanks dry out.
I print like 5 times a year. So 90% of the time, when I’m replacing a tank, it’s because the damn head dried out.
Yeah, I don’t know how many of those new folks are or aren’t in that union. All I know is that the veteran border patrol folks are.
And my guess is that a lot of those existing employees are pretty pro Trump. Policing borders isn’t usually the public service job that bleeding heart liberals go for.

The murdered nurse was a member of AFGE, and the AFGE is affiliated with the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC). But that doesn’t mean the AFGE fully represents the NBPC. It’s a team-up to have more collective bargaining power.
If the NBPC says that their leaders should be fired, THEN shit will have really hit the fan.
Nonviolent resistance has a higher success rate when compared to violent resistance. But non violent resistance does not mean the resistance movement will be bloodless. Authoritarians will respond to both a violent and nonviolent movement with aggression.
