Chuck Schumer is an odious individual, but don’t ever think for one second that he is stupid or incompetent. He accomplishes every task he sets out to.
Admittedly that is a more accurate synopsis. It was very informative in terms of how/why those events took place, how the politics of the era were conducted, the connections to our current era, a lot of things that don’t often get discussed. It is probably a very “important” movie, unfortunately it’s not a very entertaining one. Compare it to “Cheney”, for example, which was moderately informative, but highly entertaining.
I doubt that just based on the number of rabidly Zionist Jews relative to their Christian counterparts in civilization society. I suspect many “Proud/Boogaloo Boy” types comprise a significant portion of their ranks. Like 50% or greater, and veterans, jobless young ones who are still quite impressionable.
How many times does the Democratic Party leadership have to create new and inventive ways to steal defeat from the jaws of victory for it to form a clear composite picture of collaboration?
Perhaps, but, I won’t complain about Christian theology being used against Christofascists, of which I suspect many ICE agents are. Donald Trump has been known to wave a Bible around. Turnabout is fair play.
Oppenheimer was rough. The whole fuckin thing about whether he was a commie or not, or just how commie he was, is it commie to not want to drop the bomb, etc. Myopic, tedious. You could cut an hour out and it would be the same movie. They didn’t even get into the “Demon Core”.
Soon there will be a critical mass of people who have nothing left to lose. Thats why the Republicans and Democrats need a secret paramilitary police force in the streets. If they don’t quell uprisings and arrest activists (i.e. “domestic terrorists”), the citizens may gain enough momentum to enact another New Deal, and the wealthy benefactors of both parties will do everything they can to stop that from happening.
