  • I was worried that lemmy wouldn’t reach the pinnacle of quality to match reddit, and then this post came along to soothe those fears. Good luck on your no poop quest.

Hahahahaha that entire post was crazy start to finish

  • Found Kim Jong Un!

  • Apparently not very much lmao

  • Simple. He asks women if they've pooped today and they reply "Of course not!"

    It's foolproof.

  • Mogadishu came so out of left field that I read this in hbomberman's voice lol

  • Hahahaha

  • Ironically that's what twitter was once for lol

  • literature.cafe

    Checks out lol

  • I used to shit more like twice a day during grad school (probably because of all the junkfood like living off microwave burritos lol) but then I shifted to about once a day and was mildly concerned about it.

When I looked it up to see if it were symptomatic of low fiber or something else... color me surprised to find dozens of reddit posts talking about how people only shit once every 3-4 days. I was stunned.

Then I realized a lot of those posts were made by Americans, and it reminded me of someone in college who once reasoned that him living off McDonald's for three meals a day was "sustainable" because he counted calories religiously... not taking into account that he was essentially living off fiberless food whatsoever lmao

    So basically...

  • No way lol, cheese makes up somewhere like 80% of my diet and I still shit at least once a day lmfao

  • That sounds extremely difficult, sorry you're dealing with that. I'd imagine at that age more parents would realize that their time on earth is getting shorter and to spend as much precious time with their own children as possible. It's unfortunate they don't sound very supportive of your marriage. I hope you are able to at least enjoy the company of your wife's parents when you have the opportunity. Stay with the circle that supports you and values your presence.

  • Wow, I am so terribly sorry to hear that. Thank you for being brave enough to share this here. Please remember that there's always support around on Lemmy if you look for it or want to talk about any of that, I can't imagine how difficult and scary it must be to go through, especially after a falling out like that too. I hope that things will get better for you.

  • Sounds fun! Any plans to release something on itch/steam?

  • Mine always seemed to work fine, still does actually! Although I don't tend to use it much.

The last thing I used it for was the soundtrack for Die Hard I got for a £1 at a boot sale on a complete whim... only to later realize it was actually the soundtrack for the sequel hahahaha

  • underrated meme lol

  • aol.com

  • Another even simpler point I haven't seen anyone else mention yet is that social media is historically associated with being used to socially interact with friends and family, either people you know irl or closely-knit online groups you treat as legitimate personal relationships.

Though I suppose Twitter can be an exception to this, but anyone who remembers how Twitter started out knows that it was never intended to be that way lol (now that government and judicial agencies use it as a defacto form of official press release ontop of everything else)

  • That's too broad.

  • I remember there was actually a time (probably way back in the late 2000s) where youtube used to have a little "video reply" feature, and they would nest the replies beneath the video in a little banner! I miss those days...
