  • Debate all you want, but the literal first sentence on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Programming_language

A programming language is an engineered language for expressing computer programs,[1] typically allowing software to be written in a human readable manner.

  • Assembly, perhaps. But not every other language. Every other language's sole purpose is to be easier than assembly to read by humans, so it can be compiled or translated through an engine into something a machine can read.

Machines do not read Rust. Machines do not read C++. Machines do not read JavaScript. Humans do.

  • Sure they are. They're intended to be as easy to read for a human as possible.

  • Every programming language is plain text.

  • In Bratislava there is a Stone Age carving of a woman made out of a mammoth tusk: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venus_of_Moravany

The museum that it is in just has it in some random case with no label amongst other things, and the case is near impossible to find. Sad, really.

  • I love how someone committed # scary! above it rather than fixing it.

  • With the angle of the hand and the thumb on the side closest to us as it is, this sign would be smashed between the first two fingers and the upper palm. It would be facing almost straight at the camera. Something is fishy here. It's possible it's real and the shot was taken as their grip was shifting, but the hand is crisp, so fishy fishy.

  • They are. Then building the station. They are even hiding the rubble.

  • Older versions were crazy, guessing they've finally got it roght. I think they should have launched with a "In beta, algorithm is learning" message. People implemented it right at launch and had expectations, and it was just not ready, total dumpster fire.

  • Yes and no. Living in a care hone with Nazis showing up at your door can't be all that relaxing. As long as they pay to relocate that, it's a better idea IMO.

  • Hmm, fair. If this rule had existed I wouldn't have posted. Granted, I learned about it through word of mouth (in Austria right now), so I found the news article after. Didn't actually realize it was super-fresh news.

  • They're doing that first. And secretly disposing of the rubble.

  • It was being used as a care home.

  • Indupitamaybely.

  • The researchers’ legal team is now asking the judge in the case to skip a trial and formally declare that the White House repeatedly violated the constitution, including the First Amendment. A court hearing on whether that’ll happen is scheduled for Oct. 20.

    Wut. Oct 20th?

We have absolute proof. Use it now.

Best I can do is Tuesday. In a few months.

And dont tell me the court is "backed up". It wouldn't be if judges made obvious calls to clear the docket.

  • Hmm, perhaps it was purposeful.

  • "Crisp". It's just a wierd r. They're not called "chips" everywhere. For instance in the UK they are crisps and fries are chips.
