  • Lost all THREE branches of government. A colossal failure of a campaign.

  • "Any state that requires more than 45% of their annual budget to be Federally supplemented, for a period of 3 of 5 years (non-consecutive) summarily concedes their budgetary autonomy."

Boom, Federal govt steps in, taxes all the freeloader states at appropriate levels, and levies Corporate taxes uniformly across the tier.

Who am I kidding tho, right? Neither Party would ever, EVER push back on their Corporate overlords. But my pipedream is nice, no?

  • 53.6 percent of Louisiana's budget comes from Federal funds. That's up from 47 percent in 2011. So for over a decade, they have only INCREASED their dependency on the Federal govt to keep their economy running.

Fuck these regressive dicks. They can't run their own State, they only exist to transfer public funds to private businesses. And those businesses turn around to grease the politicians' palms.

They are running a SCAM. And pouring more Federal funds into this scam will NEVER do anything other than enrich the upper wealth layer already grifting the state. Cut them off at the knees. Make up the 53.6% in CORPORATE and Marginal Tax rates on the wealthy.

Freeloader Red states are such bums.

  • Somehow the snakes returned...

  • "Our tradition is subjugation!"

  • Your core argument is essentially just a rationalization of your own behavior.

So my original analysis holds true: a remarkably bad hot take.

  • lol, your counterpoint is hold to hold up Gandhi as the paragon of "Good?"

People are the aggregate of their choices. Behavior dictates the outward expression of inner motives. Sure, there are vast gulfs of grey within the theoretical discussion of black and white, but ultimately each person's legacy is simply a accumulation of the paths they have chosen, given the available options. To assume that everyone would make the same choices, when presented with the same opportunities, is simply not congruent to the patterns of human behavior that we see in reality, regardless of era or culture.

  • That is a remarkably bad hot take

  • Pizza the Hut, origin story

  • So why not impose economic embargoes on luxury goods that primarily inconvenience the wealthy? Starve the Texan 1% of their shiny goodies and let them eat themselves.

Stop playing nice; these people are trying to create a Christian Taliban.

  • [ Because of aromatic compounds in the leaves they consume, and the bacterial fermentation required to digest them,[26][27] the birds have a disagreeable, manure-like odor and are only hunted by humans for food in times of dire need; local people also call it the "stinkbird" because of it. ]

  • "They're just not that into you." --galactic consensus

  • "WHY do the replicators keep adding lactose to everything?"

  • I'm irrationally angry at how accurate this is.

  • Boomer toxic masculinity is deeply ingrained in our cultural hallmarks.

Roughly 25 years ago, we started pushing hard for girls to get advanced educations, and that strategy has been successful. But boys haven't had the same social or educational evolution, and so were primed to backslide to whatever dominant sphere of influence presented in their lives. And again, a lot of it is toxic masculinity.

  • Humans are the champion killers of all time. Shrikes admire us.
