Disclaimer: not really The King

  • Probably a better description/label tbh

If anything then, the post is depicting antitheists, not just atheists

  • It's about atheists who make atheism their whole personality.

  • And on lemmy in general

  • Even other atheists or agnostics use that caricature of reddit atheists. It's less so atheists and more like atheists who make atheism their whole personality

  • Them religious zealots with their evolutionary biology and eugenics!

  • Better use Jesus as a rolemodel than Andrew Tate

  • Sharing is caring

  • Good point, actually. It's more money than I realised

  • Build my own village with affordable rent and live in a mansion in the middle and be like a lord of my own little village. Maybe also build a good school there. Evict people if they do anti social behaviour. Then when someone has paid enough rent to pay off the mortgage, surprise them by just giving them the house, or maybe after a time offer them to buy it with a reduced price because of the rent paid. So someone could probably live there and raise a family until they can afford a house, then buy their own house back.

Also arrange loads of community events, get people out and involved. Just make a wholesome and affordable community for others to live in. Maybe get businesses to move in to offer jobs as well.

  • My parents just didn't want me being cyber bullied... Which didn't make sense as I made an Instagram and talked there. My sister though still told me to keep the account private. It was under a pseudonym and I never even posted my face there

  • I got mine at 11 which was younger than that. Thankfully I was quite well behaved already and knew not to share personal information online. Beforehand I had been using a family desktop computer. I was very cagey about who even obtained my phone number.

  • Kid isn't allowed a phone until he can compile and flash his own operating system from source

  • What is that in ages?

  • My thoughts exactly

  • It's ridiculous. And I'm someone talking from a Protestant/Unionist background from Belfast.

Basically, Kneecap has had provocative music which hits at home about distrusting police, burning police vehicles, dressing in PIRA attire. The PIRA is a very real terrorist organisation at home. One could argue that kneecap could be directly or indirectly encouraging terrorist activity at home or inspiring people to follow in the PIRA's footsteps via attitude. They also advocated for killing MPs.

But somehow, the line is crossed when they display a flag of a foreign terrorist organisation halfway across the world.

So the way the law is acting, it's as if Kneecap is more likely to inspire Hezbollah to cause a terrorist attack instead of an Irish dissident at home. Which I think everyone can agree is ridiculous conclusion to make. But that's the conclusion the law has seemed to made. Basically, something is up.

Now, I'm not saying they should be prosecuted for their other material either. I'm just saying that this whole thing doesn't make sense that the line is crossed on a foreign terrorist movement not relevant to us.

    Something is up.

  • It is it's own instance that renders on lemmy as a community

  • Events could be federated, so could any blogs. Wordpress creates a community that's viewable from lemmy for the blog, where users cannot post from, but can comment on

  • You'll essentially need a blogging functionality, where updates are posted or latest news.

  • It sounds American to me
