  • Not really. It's a grey area. They don't care about foreigners using vpns at all. It's kind of expected. Foreign SIMs don't even face blocks on mobile networks. If you're going to a sensitive province of China, I think they'll care slightly more, but as long as you're not using the VPN to do something illegal, you'll be okay.

  • If you will be using roaming for mobile data in China, you won't face any blocking.

    Accessing over cloudflare tunnels or just a normal exposed server works.

    VPNs work most of the time. But you can be cut off after like 30 minutes to an hour. I'd recommend only turning it on when you need it.

    You will most likely face speed issues, although this may be due to the physical infrastructure itself connecting China to the outside internet isn't really that stellar. As everything Chinese citizens typically use is hosted in China.

  • I don't know about across the pond, but to me that always seemed to be a loud minority of charismatic leaders gathering big flocks. Which the rest of The Church tries to distance itself from.

    I think this isn't specifically tied to religion. It's just it's noticeable when it is. People are manipulated by governments and the media all of the time. It even happens in largely secular states as well.

    You say evangelicals, but there's also the likes of Mormons, Seventh day Adventists (not really a big cult now as it used to be), Jehovah's Witnesses. There are Sunni extremists and Shia extremists in Islamic countries. China had weird cults as well such as the Falun Gong. But that also had an atheistic movement in the cultural revolution. Nazi Germany's movement was borderline pagan in nature.

  • I'll actually be honest here-

    I had/have hyper fixation on Android's dynamic colour system that's been in place since Android 12. I love how my phone has uniform colours. So I used a reddit client which abided by it. Then after the API debacle I felt very offended that I'd have to use their official app which was quite laggy and slow and bloated, and wasn't clean and fast. So I came here.
