ACAB, Anti-War, and I hate Democrats, Republicans, and billionaires. (Yes, even your favorite billionaire: the pop star, the philanthropost, the legendary athlete, or the soft-spoken investment guru who cosplays as middle class.) With each passing day I get a little closer to hating everyone.

Also, I refuse to use Donald's last name out of hatred for the man and his brand, FYI.

  • I don't know how the Democrats managed to ignore it when all the data they had made it very clear people didn't care about identity politics anymore. They're working 80-100 hours a week at three jobs for the privilege of housing their kids in a roach-infested studio apartment and they've seen their purchasing power diminish so much that they're having to choose between food, rent, and their prescription drugs.

    Yes, they're unlikely to care about racism right now.

    That'll happen when your basic, everyday existence is in survival mode, and it doesn't make them bad people. It makes them sad and desperate.

  • The person who taught me put colored bits of tape on the instrument to denote basic chords like G, C, D, and Am. It really helped, using a different color for each one, so I could learn to move quickly between them and build the muscle memory I needed.

    It's happening because he didn't do anything meaningful to make positive change in their lives. He did manage to make a few hundred billion more appear out of thin air for war though, so I suppose that should make them feel better about the fact that they can't properly feed their families, right?

  • I suppose, in a way, it's kind of refreshing to see conservatives have to face the kind of hypocrisy that we leftists see every day out of the supposed liberals in this country, but objectively, did they really think putting billionaires in charge of their party would mean less exploitation of the immigration and visa process? It's easier to rob people of their labor when they live in uncertainty after all.

    Musk wasn't giving out millions of dollars out of the goodness of his heart. It was an investment, just like people who pay the "speaking fees" of prominent Democrats. They're all grifters.

    Benefit cuts are one of the areas where we always seem to have bipartisanship. Clinton famously cut the social safety net too. Who do you vote for when both parties have a record of killing benefits?

  • I could go up to six weeks without power or if there was some event that caused significant social unrest, provided I'm not murdered. I made it a habit during the first Trump admin to have an emergency food and water supply, largely because he really isn't a terribly competent leader, and then when COVID hit and people bought out everything everywhere, it just reinforced the importance of having supplies on-hand.
