Artist, musical performer, and former derby skater from the Midwest.

I'm single, childless, and married to freedom and adventure.

ACAB, Anti-War, and I hate Democrats, Republicans, and billionaires. (Yes, even your favorite billionaire: the pop star, the philanthropost, the legendary athlete, or the soft-spoken investment guru who cosplays as middle class.) With each passing day I get a little closer to hating everyone.

Also, I refuse to use Donald's last name out of hatred for the man and his brand, FYI.

  • We're actively disinformed. That's why. It's really that simple.

  • True story. Patience is an investor's best friend.

  • It is uncorrelated to the stock market.

What it's not uncorrelated to is the chaos of the Trump presidency.

  • Thank you. I'm definitely not one of the popular lemmings. 🤣

  • This is a both sides issue, and easy to research. Why do you think it $500,000+ for a meeting with either presumptive presidential candidate?

  • All that's happening is that Trump is outwardly doing what the US government does in a more subtle way. All US presidents have cared about since LBJ are the interests of the donor class.

  • He literally sold the Resolute Desk to Goya for ad space.

This is after he did a Mcdonalds/Dominos ad when he had them cater the NCAA basketball champions' dinner at the White House.

    It's what he does.

  • Pennywise took three weeks or so. Macho Man took a year. I work fast when not depressed.

  • Artist here. I'm on instagram (@artbyflashmob) and Mastodon (@flashmobofone). I'm proud of my reimaginings of popular figures. I've also had two portraits of Patrick Mahomes autographed and resold by his foundation, which I'm HUGELY proud of.

  • Totally, friend. Brilliant response.

  • If you can hold it long-term, it's a fantastic investment.

If you're a day trader that can't look away from the charts for more than five minutes, then crypto definitely isn't a good idea for you.

  • What's funny is that, in 2017, the ETH high was something like $12. (It got up to $1300 in 2018)

    Now, it's sitting at $2000 and it's a "crash".

The lesson here is to buy the dip and then check back in 5-10 years.

  • They are as cyclical as people are cyclical for falling for confidence scams again and again and again

No. They are cyclical because of the way that crypto algorithms work, and the effects they have on the media and human greed.

    how ethical it is.

This conversation isn't about ethics. It's about the silliness of the meme, but thank you. You are correct in saying that each individual investor needs to consider these issues as well.

  • In that context, you're right.

It's ironic that the gay community was making so much more progress forward back when everyone was just 'gay' and way less intent on subdividing themselves.

  • No, man. People are sounding like these prices are fixed, when we've seen time and time again that crypto prices are cyclical.

Now's a time to buy. ETH is at a 50% discount. Your assets would be in a pretty good spot right now if you'd bought Bitcoin in 2017 when it "crashed" to $4000 per unit. I picked up shares of EZBC at an average of $32 a share (currently hovering between $45-$50 in a supposed crash) and XRP at 50 to 75 cents, currently hovering around $2.10.

What you do is invest, and then just forget about it and let those assets sit. Investing is about forward-thinking.

  • That's true.

But, I think when the Boomers are gone history will show that their loss will be a boost to overall social progress.

  • I'm just over here wishing we could get both 49%'s that always vote partisan to give a shit about the working class and poor at the same time.

For four years, one side's angry and the other makes excuses. Then, when the other team's guy is in charge, one 49% decides it's their turn to make excuses and the other side pretends to give a shit.

It would be exhausting if we weren't all already exhausted from trying to live in this impoverished hellscape.

  • What's interesting is that Democratic and Republican voters look at these two parties and somehow, after the last 40 years of wealth transferring upward, manage not to notice the billionaires behind both of them.

No one cares about your unique social characteristics or what demographics you fall into. They care about finding that sweet spot where you will work yourself to death but not come up behind them on a NYC street and communicate your displeasure with a bullet.

You are an ant underneath their boot.

  • I know it's easy to say and hard to do for most, but you just have to find contentment with what you have. I have everything I need, most of what I want, and I don't particularly feel like I'm missing anything. My sole focus now is saving as much as I can so I can retire early and, in effect, buy myself more free time.
