Artist, musical performer, and former derby skater from the Midwest.

I'm single, childless, and married to freedom and adventure.

ACAB, Anti-War, and I hate Democrats, Republicans, and billionaires. (Yes, even your favorite billionaire: the pop star, the philanthropost, the legendary athlete, or the soft-spoken investment guru who cosplays as middle class.) With each passing day I get a little closer to hating everyone.

Also, I refuse to use Donald's last name out of hatred for the man and his brand, FYI.

  • I actually like it when people make themselves this comfortable in my home. It does require that I tell people very literally that if they're uncomfortable and there's something I can do to fix it, to please tell me.

When I have a guest I want them to enjoy themselves, and if they're more of an introvert and would prefer to hop in the guest bed and do phone time, that's totally okay.

  • I think it's something more for the Boomer generation that didn't have social media, honestly. My mom and dad loved high school reunions before he passed away.

  • I'm in my 40's and have never gone to one of my own.

It's pretty simple. I had one really good friend in high school and about a dozen friends I hung with often. I was in the rebellious out group and didn't really like the vast majority of the people at my high school, and thanks to social media, I already get to see how boring or train wrecky their lives have become if I ever get curious.

    So there's just no need.

  • I suppose, for me, it was when I started making friends with people outside my own age group. Being 40 and friends with 20 and 30 year-olds, or people in their 70's and 80's and having it just be mutually respectful and enjoyable feels like a big thing when you get to it.

  • The auto companies successfully lobbied the government to abandon passenger trains and build highways instead, basically. (That way we'd all be forced to buy their products thanks to the transportation ecosystem.)

Lots of cities are getting commuter trains though. Mine just built two expansions to our rail line. It's a slow process, but essential.

  • So is this what you get if you order 'goddess' on Amazon?

  • Facts.

  • And I, the dutiful minion, fall into it every single time.

  • I have 1200 "friends" on Facebook.

Less than a 10th of them "follow" me.

Therefore it is and was a literal waste of time to spend any time on their site.

  • That's aggravating. It's paid for by our taxes here in KC. Each user gets an allotment. (I think it's daily, but not sure.)

  • Thank you! I'm okay with walking over to the library to print, though.

It's fun getting to express my socialist sensibilities in that way.

  • Hell yeah, and there's so much great FOSS software, makes me wonder why I didn't switch off paid subs for so many things sooner.

  • Yup, if I were still a buyer of printers, that's what I'd get.

  • laundry machine, I’m looking for a decades old, used one. One with a spin cycle and that lets you start and stop it in demand.

    Smart.

  • Per the article this was not a Flock cam. FYI.

  • 4th Amendment violation

  • I will assume he was taking advice from ChatGPT. That is just the kind of dumb shit ChatGPT tries to convince people to do.

LOL at all the downvotes, as if ChatGPT doesn't tell people to do stupid shit.
