Artist, musical performer, and former derby skater from the Midwest.

I'm single, childless, and married to freedom and adventure.

ACAB, Anti-War, and I hate Democrats, Republicans, and billionaires. (Yes, even your favorite billionaire: the pop star, the philanthropost, the legendary athlete, or the soft-spoken investment guru who cosplays as middle class.) With each passing day I get a little closer to hating everyone.

Also, I refuse to use Donald's last name out of hatred for the man and his brand, FYI.

  • Same, also why I always buy old and used. Thankfully still a lot of low mileage used cars out there, but they're getting more expensive because it's no secret that older stuff works better.

  • I remember being a kid and "Officer Friendly" visiting our school, then later, Officer Dickens running the D.A.R.E. program we were all forced to go through.

The propaganda is so pervasive that most people never question how wrong it is that cops are authoritarian. Good on you for doing what you can to teach your child the reality of the world.

  • It's fun to speculate.

    More fun to die mid-copulate.

All kidding aside, I suspect that the first death related to a sex-bot will be because some doofus tried to jailbreak it and get it to do something it isn't programmed to do.

  • You don't know that.

  • Probably not the worst way to go, though.

  • On the plus side, we have so, so many billionaires. Like a few thousand.

    So, worth it?

    /s

  • Nah, probably Jared Leto.

  • Milo is a little furry god and deserves his hamburger pets.

  • Eyeliner or no, that cat is perfection embodied.

  • VPN 100%

    I don't leave home without it. :)

  • This is true.

I had to re-learn how to pirate music when I decided to quit Spotify. (FYI, by using tools that rip audio from Youtube videos.)

  • Jack is literally perfect.

  • I guess watching ICE beat up a senator on live TV wasn't enough for these dumb motherfuckers to pick a side.

  • I don't use LLMs for anything creative for the express purpose of avoiding generic tone, haha.

  • Huh?

  • It is not for us to question the will of the gods.

    Especially the tiny furry ones.

  • "Social permission" is one term for it.

Most people don't realize this is happening until it hits their electric bills. Microslop isn't permitted to steal from us. They're just literal thieves and it takes time for the law to catch up.

  • This meme is so dishonest, at least in the context of immigration.

The promise made was the mass deportation of criminal immigrants. What is happening is state-sponsored domestic terrorism, targeting of legal immigrants, and the wholesale disruption of communities.

What's happening is not what people voted for, and they have every right to be pissed. (Which, judging by the 2025 elections, they very much are.)

And those of you who are ignoring these distinctions really need to STFU.

  • As if we weren't going to figure out how shitty LLM's are organically.

  • The first half of 2008 was okay. I was a year into having my own place, was dating a lot, and traveling multiple times a year. Going on your first solo vacations as a young adult is a pretty dang cool thing.

I was still new in my career and was building my adult life. I had a job lined up in Chicago, but it was with a financial company, and the collapse of Bear Stearns, Lehman, and the whole economy got the offer pulled that September.

I remember being very excited for the election. I actually got to go see Michelle Obama give a speech in the jazz district here in Kansas City, and the line to see Barack Obama speak at his Liberty Memorial campaign stop was so long they had to cut it off for security reasons. We sat on one of the hills and listened to the speech, and he was elected by a large margin.

In hindsight, 2008 was the last year I had any real hope for the future.

Obama was supposed to be the Anti-Dubya, but he turned out to be a conservative fascist too. The banks were rewarded with bailouts and bonuses for crashing the economy, and to this day, only one person's gone to prison for it. I now just assume each new year will be incrementally worse than the last, which while bad for my mental health, has been great for my financial planning.

  • I get why this would bug people.

It's a small act of legitimizing the domestic Gestapo, but we've already seen that the corporate social media is a-okay with platforming terrorists, Nazis, and the worst.

That's why we're on Lemmy instead.
