The entire French government is abandoning Windows for Linux. It is absolutely possible to change the entire ecosystem; just hard to hit that catalytic point, but more and more people are going that way, thankfully. Maybe they'll even eventually find Lemmy!
There's no need to go so primitive in response; just stick to offline FOSS apps that individuals made with no Internet permissions. F-Droid/Droid-ify has multiple offline period trackers.
I'm not sure of how that's relevant because they would just attach the devices to trains and other public transit anyway. To be fair, that would make it harder for tracking, at least, by a little.
now it's just companies pushing to see how much they can be allowed to exploit you for the least cost.
On a directly related note, Linux is so awesome for being the most attainable it's ever been. Too bad that its own transparency basically ensures that it may never become mainstream... But I still laud absolutely France for trying!
Ironically, those are the correct people to be in charge. Anyone else is usually a narcissist, or at least has narcissistic tendencies getting in the way of actual progress.
Homeschooling means that the government can't verify that the education the children receive is up to standards set by the department of education.
Well... They do tests. They're sent to outside test centers so no one can cheat for them and mask their incompetence or something. Doesn't everyone periodically run tests to ensure they're on track?
EDIT: Wow, I've been misled... Thanks for the enlightenment, everyone. I used to work with homeschooled students. Maybe the vetting quality was better back then or something...
Yeah, we can no longer msg other participants without paying. I guess they've picked up on it having dating potential since it has a "Single" designation so it may get added to Match's ever-growing portfolio down the years, haha.
No, but I used to be more active until I saw that they started to increasingly prevent you from talking to other participants, and even seeing who other people are (can't even tell gender or anything) unless you paid for their higher tier. I literally saw it get added out of the blue after years of no such restrictions, and they've only dug deeper and deeper. I couldn't even connect with someone with whom I met just because I didn't attempt to get their number immediately on the spot.
It's just platform-milking, just like Meetup.com's latest antics; there isn't deep analysis needed to everything, haha. "Capitalism" is totally a legitimate answer despite being just one word.
Sincerely,France
