    I have a line for what I consider to be sexist. This is no where near it. Joking about women drawing on eyebrows or attractive women wanting plastic surgery is no where near sexist. I could be nice but sometimes you just got to take the piss out of dumb comments.

    If you want to fight that crusade good luck to you because it will be an uphill battle. The line for what is acceptable has regressed significantly.

  • Controversial opinion but this is perfectly fine to enable in an enterprise environment. If you're being paid to work and you're lucky enough to be trusted to work from home its fine to force employees to have location services enabled. Not like there isnt a million other ways to see where they are.

  • When I read the comment sections of my local news most of the comments are incoherent rambling like Trump but with more spelling mistakes. Its sad.

  • Obviously depends on the women and what they're looking for/enjoy. But from my experience women are generally fine with this and even want to engage in a lot of this. But I really dont think its what most men want (personally I hate most of the things on your list and actively communicate it) so unless you communicate it to your partner that you do prefer these things they probably wont be like this towards you.

    Just keep in mind that you will encounter people who dont like this and thats fine, consider it a filter and move on.

  • I'd hire slop writers to make articles saying X open source project got hacked y open. Source project got hacked. Then spam replies on the threads when they get posted to reddit with replies like "this is bad, I'm going bad to BigEvilCorp because they have a fulltime team working security". Itd manufacturer reality for people and eventually it'd shift perception.

    Also the articles about projects being hacked dont even have to be real. Misinfo travels way faster than the truth

  • Ok I finally remembered to check a Mac. Just after a fresh imaging it was using 5.8gb of ram. Latest version of Tahoe. Not quite the 8gb I claimed but after usage I can see it beinf 6/7gb with nothing major open.

  • We are taking about devices you own with android and ios this is completely different.

    How is it different you have absolutely no idea how this will be implemented. Currently IOS and Android default to cloud storage and we know how many users stray away from the defaults. Both devices already check your photos against the CSAM database and scan your local photos so you can search via tags like "cat" and it shows all cat photos. Who knows, it may be local AI and completely private.

  • Do they actually know how the technology works? They will have to scan everything inbound and outbound connections, basically managed devices.

    OP do you know how technology works? Apple and google already do this to a degree. We've seen people get reported to the police for taking pictures of their own kids nude because photos are scanned on upload to icloud or google's photos. This isnt new its an expansion of existing norms
