  • None of that has anything to do with AI consuming upwards of 30% of all power in some US States. None of that has anything to do with AI in 2025 being run on 35% renewable electricity and 50% or more fossil fuels which could have been used by citizens and consumers at lower prices instead.

Even if Elon Musk weren't running illegal Natural Gas generators in Texas to power Grok, even if AI suddenly became 100% solar powered today in some fantasy fiction, it is still producing nothing of value but creating serious risks and we should still shut it down.

Let me try to creat a visual for you:

    [///////]Human-Use Power

    [//////////] = [///////] + [///]All power generated = Human-Use + AI

    And in 4 years:

    [/////////////] = [///////] + [//////]

You see that? You see how its using more? We're already facing cataclysmic changes in weather patterns risking countless habitats including human ones, and we're going to practically double power consumption so Trump can make a short video of his jet shitting on protestors.

  • If you have a plan to do that then that's great but this isn't a situation where anybody is willing to make trades of one or the other.

AI doesn't have a single profitable use case given it generates plagiarism, hallucinations, and liabilities, so there's no reason to keep it.

  • We're burning the earth with our power consumption and polluting every online database or repository with hallucinations all for pictures of political figures doing ballet, and it is eventually going to cause a catastrophe, so yes, sooner would be better.

  • Well that sounds pretty horrible and I would to avoid it...

But if thats all it costs, then...

  • Fucking sloppers

  • May they somehow gather support from the suburbs in order to stand a chance at removing Gabe.

With the primary over, unity will now be key to success in the general.

  • Netscape, I guess

Fry's Electronics, too, tho technically the memorial site is still up

  • I already made the move over to Stoat.

  • We've had 48 or less DNC Senators for over 13 years. Shame has not worked at fucking all and is commonly disingenuous shame like yours refusing to admit they did something good.

  • NGL I am on-site rn so I've only had phone data to connect me to the interner for two weeks now. It's pretty limiting but liveable.

Probably find a giant comic and manga archive since I won't be able to visit aggregators anymore.

  • Check this comment thread, there are literally people calling the healthcare accomplishment we made a "Republican Plan".

You don't have to argue how the tens of millions of carrots aren't 340 million everytime somebody brings up how amaxing the accomplishment is. Nobody ever praised the carrots and opposed making more, that is a nonexistent stance. The only reason to criticize the limited scope of the carrots is to shame the DNC.

The DNC have accomplished good with every paultry majority they've scraped together and I'm sick of disingenuous assholes claiming otherwise.

  • Oh yeah? I "have nothing"? Well you're in the negative and I bet your water isn't even clean. How does that feel? You got more insults to throw my way, dirty Tankie?

  • The word preclude means "to make impossible" meaning Conrad's spokesperson's statement "previous comments do not rule out Public Option".

I can't tell if you're misleading others or misled yourself.

And as for that quote of Lincoln, her campaign website still said otherwise. Keep in mind that during all of this there was a large organized campaign to change her mind including billboards and calls to action wherein people were urged to contact her office, she actually changed her stance multiple times throughout. Her major complaints were about deficit which were easily dismissed as the bill did not increase deficit at all.

  • I haven't squirmed one bit but if you think I'm going to play whackamole as you sealion the same question I already answered over and over then you're just dumb.

Luigi worshippers don't want people participating in democratic actions, do not want people to become like Bernie Sanders. They want more violence. They are mutually exclusive political ideologies, if you promote both then you're working against yourself.

  • Oh lol he's denying it, he thinks we're all idiots.

  • According to HuffPost:

Conrad's spokesperson told Salon that the story was inaccurate. Conrad told his constituents that he won't let the government run their health care, but that this position does not preclude the public option.

So you fell for a hit piece.

As for Lincoln, her own website declared she was pro-public-option, but she made public statements otherwise and she had been acting very conservative in her last year in congress so it's difficult to say how she would have voted if the original bill ever came to vote.

But we will never know because of Leiberman being a guaranteed "No" not beholden to the party for his attempt at reelection.

Regardless, it's easy to see the GOP are the enemy even if 1 or 2 out of 60 DNC are only better 97 out of 100 votes.

  • Things need not be equal, there is a magnitude scale of good and evil.

  • Thats the same as saying tens of millions of people who voted for Donald Trump are not responsible for Donald Trump.

You are responsible for your actions and the words you speak, here or anywhere else, hold meaning.

  • Lmao this fuckin tankie hit me with the "no u" how will I ever recover?
