English is almost entirely just what feels right. No English speaker has perfect English. I'm sure that Germans have the same with all the 16 uses of "the". English just has more.

Oh, man, I'm pretty decent at this. Man is a favorite of mine. You may be thinking "that's not neutral". To that I say, yuh huh. Also somehow gender neutral. Diva is pretty universal. It has the added plus as a quick little homophobia check. Girliepop, similar usage as diva. Pookie/ pookie bear, to be used with close friends and partners.
I mean, ice cream is good. Pizza is good. Doesn't mean that they should be together. Lighthearted criticism is always pretty good. Us Americans have plenty of serious and light hearted criticisms made about us. The French and British are the only ones that compare in the lighthearted category.
