I offer absurdist edits of absurdist Heathcliff comics, make food, post political memes.

  • You mean South Canada?

  • And by one cup. I mean one cup.

  • They like the Sun. They just don't like extreme heat. Once that temperature gets above 96°, the pollen dies and fertilization can't happen. So maybe some shade cloth if it's going to get that hot.

  • Mine looks weak until about three weeks ago. Then they started filling out and actually being able to support their flowers. But it's normal for me to not get a single tomato or pepper until late August because it's too hot before that and the heat kills the pollen.

  • It's got a naan base so that got the lead.

  • I would have liked more browning too. But I saw the cheese starting to go from liquid to solid and decided to pull it out.

  • Nice modifications. Glad you got some joy from this tasty meal.

  • Pizza without sauce. Is cheese bread from Little Caesars with a side of sauce a pizza?

  • And also with you.

  • I would go with "Italian gravy" for that. Pork neck bones cooked in tomato sauce for 6 hours. Maybe some 'baby' mozzarella balls. Tempting.

  • If that works better for you.

  • Two decades ago I wanted fries but didn't want to waste oil. That's when I created my recipe.

    Taco seasoning.Chili powder.Italian seasoning.Montreal steak seasoning.Salt.Anything red.

I have made so many variations over the years. This time I went with some homemade taco seasoning, cumin, tajin and extra salt. I typically use peanut oil but use whatever you got with a high smoke point.

  • Exactly. Brings the heat closer to the food without the risk of burning and allows for the occasional doneness check without letting so much heat out.

  • Beef roast in a tomato, garlic and onion braise.

  • Definitely pressure can. As long as the lids are sealed the food is still edible. You will lose micro nutrients over the years but the macros will still be there.

  • Slice, seasoning, oil, toss to coat. Preheat oven to 425 with a cast iron pan on the bottom rack, line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place fries close but not touching. Bake for 35 minutes.

  • No change. She is still hissy. She got her first round vaccines today. We have a few weeks before fixing and boosters. Then I need to see if we can find someone that doesn't mind the hissing and needs a cat that will keep their chest warm for hours and a time.

  • Cost from today with beef prices from three years ago thanks to the power of canning. If I found beef for under $2 a pound I always found a way to can it for later.
