Surely you understand their position though? The face-eating leopards haven't eaten THEIR faces yet, and they hang around all the time! It would have happened by now if the face-eating leopards was gonna eat their faces! Have some sympathy - having their face eaten by the face-eating leopards truly came out of nowhere and was unexpected!
So functionally they hand you money, you can't find a job that pays your bills, so you leave and they've gained nothing. Or is the subsidy ongoing as long as they're short on people (haha until the end of time!) Or is there something else in place to help keep people there?
And you need a safe place to charge it. Like a garage. I can't afford a house so why would I buy a Nissan leaf (any cheap ev)? I can't just run an extention cord out an open window. I also can't just leave a wireless ground pad charger plugged in unattended outside. It's all linked, nothing happens in a bubble.
Take solace that no matter how bad your relationships have ended. You didn't have to sort out beanie babies in front of a judge, bailiff, YOUR LAWYER and hers, and like a dozen people in an audience, on the clamels that one day ONE of these might be valuable.
