  • This is a bellwether moment.

    More like a bellend moment...

  • For the sake of consistency, I would revoke the citizenship of everybody who's not a native American. Because ya know, it's in the name... "Native American": either you're one, or you're a terrible immigrant who should be deported.

Including the terrible son of German and Scottish immigrants currently soiling the White House.

  • Where the hell is big pharma on this one. I can't imagine this is good for stock price

You're not thinking like a psychopathic pharmaceutical exec: vaccines cure people for life instead of creating a lifelong dependency on drugs to survive.

vaccines are not good for the bottom line. I'm pretty sure the pharma industry absolutely loves RFK Jr.

  • I wish someone in Congress floated regime change in the United States.

  • I've always wondered why there's "intelligence" in National Intelligence. But the bottom is really dropping out with the cretinous Trump cabinet picks.

  • I don't mind offensive or off-color jokes.

But here's the thing: the more offensive and off-color, the better the joke had better be to be worth the offense.

This is not a good joke. You're just being offensive.

  • That's what happens when you run an OS that forces updates on you. Remember when you could disable them?

The solution is called Linux. Fuck Microsoft.

  • In fairness, as long as she keeps her trap shut, she's quite attractive.

  • But... All it would take her is watching a video of herself delivering Trump's BS to realize how mind-numbingly daft and lapdoggish she sounds. It really doesn't take much self-introspection skills to feel ashamed at oneself behaving like that. And she went to university, so surely she must see it too. Nobody can be this blind to one's shameful behavior. That's what puzzles me so much.

Unless, like I said, she's a consummate professional and she chooses to leave her self-respect in the locker when she clocks in in order to do the best job she can.

  • She's thick alright, and not just the makeup.

I often wonder if she's as properly dumb as she sounds and she really believes the shit she says, or if she's a true professional striving to do her job to the best of her abilities, even if her job involves lying and saying things that make her look like a dumb bimbo.

    I really can't decide.

  • Nah. It's not that thick! It's only 1.6" thick 😃

I like 90's style chunky and solid. Weight and bulk aren't really a concern for me. Solid, open-source and repairable are my priorities. That's what works for me.

  • They are not. They're in cell holders.

  • That's correct. He's a big fat stinking turd.

  • I own one of these. I have zero issues replacing the cells 😃

  • I lived in Utah. I'm not surprised.

  • Nope. They're headed straight towards jackboot dictatorship.

If nothing else, Trump and his henchmen are proving day after day that the Americans talking big about their god-given Second Amendment right that keeps the government in check as the reason to own so many firearms and overlook so many deaths by firearm was basically a pretense: this is literally the scenario when they swore right and left they would exercise it and they aren't.

All a bunch of phoneys, is what they are. And they're getting the nasty dictatorship they richly deserve.

  • Thank you for pointing it out to me.

I installed the flatpak and it works just fine! I'll have to check if the gcode files it produces actually work okay on our printers, but so far I'm pretty happy with it.

Also, I like that OrcaSlider has features to defeat Bambu's privacy invasion nonsense. I don't have a bambu printer myself so it doesn't concern me, but I like the developers' attitude 😃

  • I'll look into Orca Slicer. Thanks!

I suspect that you can compile from source with whichever version of OpenGL you want … if any.

I wouldn't bet on that: I compiled PrusaSlicer from source and it really does require OpenGL 3.2-only features. I mean it's not like just an unfortunate dependency. Disappointing considering the time it takes to build this monster 🙂
