  • Even at that layer it should require site specific knowledge to gain access to the network, knowledge like specific IP ranges, netmask and VLAN, that they really shouldn't have. This bank managed to mess up literally every single step of the IT security chain, it's almost impressive.

  • I just work a pretty standard engineering job at a large company (basically regular office work, not a critical industry like power or pharma), and any MAC that isn't approved by IT is simply not a allowed to interface with anything whatsoever. It's insane that a bank has this loose IT security.

  • AR is (going to be) huge within industrial maintenance, so much time can be saved by having documentation and visual aid/guidance right there I your FOV as you do the work. It has the potential to reduce both required skill level or specific equipment knowledge and massively reduce time spent troubleshooting equipment.

  • I think the franchise just lost it's novelty value. There wasn't really anywhere to take it that could expand the experience in a meaningful way. I remember loving the GH games and playing the shit out if them for years, but I also remember them going stale and boring because it was always just more of the same simple game mechanic with a new background track.

    The rosy red glasses of nostalgia is making us biased.
