  • When fixing a 3D printer always go for the proper solution right away, because you will eventually get tired of the wonky half-assed solution you've spent hours or days getting to perform properly and just go for the proper solution anyway. Save yourself the frustration, time, and wasted filament in failed prints and do it right the first time.

  • It's impressive technology, and I understand that it's exciting, but it's not art.

I would add that a lot (most?) graphical elements we encounter in daily lives do not require art or soul in the least. Stock images on web pages, logos, icons etc. are examples of graphical elements that are IMO perfectly fine to use AI image generation for. It's the menial labour of the artist profession that is now being affected by modern automation much like so many other professions have been before them. All of them resisted so of course artists resist too.

  • Guess who forgot to duck on the way back. Take a wild guess.

Was it Greg? I bet it was Greg...

  • This cannot work in the real world unfortunately. there will always exist greedy self-centered people (coincidentally also the type striving most successfully towards position of power), they will not abide by rules of courtesy that this requires.

  • I mean, the reason many people fit this in their forties, is because they finally have the time and money to do so.

I was too poor in my twenties to have a nice espresso setup. I make decent money now, but I have young kids now, so no time. In ten years time when I'm in my forties, I'll finally have the time and money simultaneously.

  • So become your own boss

  • It sure isn't legally public available either.

  • T-mobile customer names and addresses...maybe even more, who knows

  • Well, I've lived near a harbor...so yes, I have. It's hardly a terrifying experience though, a few may try to pick something from your plate/table, but I've always just swatted them away and yelled at them. They're mostly just annoying and loud

  • Owls may be elegant and fearsome, but they are dumber than rocks.

  • I've had decent results using the printer and filament-manufacturer specific settings from orca slicer OOTB with no tuning on my anycubic kobra 2

  • I'm not the person who posted the widget issue, but IME many FOSS solutions (not just weather-related) are more often than not aesthetically/UX crap.

  • You can either buy an app or pay with your data.

No this implies you get a choice, which you don't. You can get it for free and sell your data, or you can pay for it...and still also sell your data. The real money is in the data, they won't give that up...ever.

  • It definitely sounds like a fan scraping on something. it also seems to be triggered by the print head changing direction, but only briefly as it jerks. Have you checked fan bearings in the hotend and part cooling? Or just something as simple as parts being tightened properly?

  • I have no trust that lifetime is in fact lifetime, and the price is also too high compared to the product value IMO.

  • Uh no

  • Wow, it got deleted by mods, how fucking pathetic

  • There will be the exact same level of surveillance, it's still just run by banks so there's no difference there.

  • This just sounds like a regular bank transfer to another European bank...input recipient in your self-service online banking and press "transfer"...beep boop done.

What does this "digital" euro do that the existing euro (which is also perfectly working in digital space) solve?

  • I refuse to support companies with subscription based business models.
