  • It doesn't need it, it will drive just fine without app connection, but it provides convenient remote access and control capabilities.

  • This is for approval in Europe, I don't believe he is embedded in European government agencies, that seems to be a US problem.

  • It is a little surreal how old school robotic automation, which has been going on since the 60's, seems to be lumped in with AI these days like it's some kind of new wave of industrial revolution.

  • You you're suggesting that money spent by private customers counts as "public funds", you're misunderstanding what public funds are.

  • No the definition is technically to be partially financially supported by public funds (I.e. government or other organization)...but that wouldn't cover tipping from private customers either so...

  • The money comes from the customer in either scenario, functionally there is no difference it flows from customer to employee regardless.

Edit: just to be clear, I am very much against the tipping culture in the US as it only benefits the employer and leaves employees at the whim of the customers mood. But all employee salaries are paid by the customers money in the end.

Uuh...were you in the marines or perhaps a Navy seal too?

  • What exactly is this solution providing that just having a safari shortcut to the service doesn't? Like, what's justifying this costing money? It doesn't sound like it's doing anything for the user that isn't already equally easy and 100% free.

Edit: sorry if it comes off as flippant, I genuinely just don't understand the purpose of this.

  • None of what I'm saying is "pulling yourself up by the bootstrap". It's all about adapting to provide maximum happiness for yourself instead of imposing limits on yourself for no real reason.

  • If you truly have a desire to get something out there, you find a way and acquire the skills to do so without having a fortune. You're intentionally limiting yourself to a single artistic outlet, and that also becomes your excuse because that's what you "specialize in". But it's only you keeping you from having a different artistic outlet.

  • Artists always find a way, people will create stuff from literal garbage found for free. Money may facilitate it, making it easier or more convenient, but honestly "lack of tools" is more often lack of will to execute and just using the lack of tools as an excuse.

  • I guess my comment wasn't outrageous enough to be clearly identified as sarcasm... Should've used the /s for good measure.

  • There are also €20k cars that are also significantly safer, you don't need to spend €60k for a notably better car.

  • In a car with better safety you probably would have sustained fewer or less severe injuries. There's also a heavy dose of survivorship bias in your story.

  • Maybe don't settle in a bordering uninhabitable climate
