A huge difference between the left and the right is that the left respects the citizens and gives them the benefit of the doubt on how much they understand and consider. The right doesn’t overestimate them and accurately reckons and takes full advantage of their reactive, unanalytical character.
For what it’s worth, you can’t tell people their paychecks are getting bigger when they aren’t. Biden presided over a “great economy” but wages stagnated and buying power decreased. Trump is going to Strangelove-ride this economy into a pit so deep it’ll be hard to convince people that everything is roses.
Fun fact (because there’s nothing more fun than technicality!): Technically it wasn’t his life’s work. Well before his work on nuclear fission, Oppenheimer was actually responsible for originally theorizing the existence of both antimatter and black holes. I don’t think this will actually work. First time around, it was Trump and a bunch of morons he liked because they said nice things to him or had big tits. The actual staff who were used to running a presidency and who were trying to run a presidency were the ones who wore him out because there was no one else to go to.
This time around, I think Trump is going to do jack shit, but he’s brought so much corruption and vice with him that he doesn’t have to leave the golf course. There’s an army of more capable monsters flooding the government now, and they have Project 2025 as their playbook.
