Trump is the party and the base is looking for someone with charisma, not another suit. If the field is so flat that Vance or Rubio could become party nominee, then the party is dead. Trump chose Vance because he didn’t want someone who would outshine him. Vance will only be President if Trump croaks.
The party should not decide. When the party decides, they work for big business and undermine the democratic process. Politicians should be chosen by voters who elect them. In the case of recent presidential primaries the party has put their thumb on the scale to undermine voters. The party establishment is the problem.
They even failed to remove Biden from running for a second term. He had to drop out after a donor pulled funding. This showed that the people in charge of the party are not the politicians, but the donors. It was pathetic and the party should be treated as an extension of their rich donors. I don’t have a billion dollars, do you?
You know, they love me in Greenland. I showed up, I said, “This place isn’t very green.” But then we installed the data center, melted all the ice. We sprayed some Brawdo. We wanted to give the plants 🌱 a head start, so we sprayed it. Our secretary of agriculture told me it would work and it has. We sprayed it. Maybe his last wish is to kickstart a civil war and this is his last chance. But the military didn’t go along last time, and considering he screwed them by starting the Iran war, it’s doubtful that they go along this time either.
So it’s just another chance to push his base into another conflict that they’ll lose. It’s gonna be great when there’s no presidential pardon coming their way for trying to stage another coup. They’ll finally get some real jail time.
