The AID in USAID does not imply assistance, it's regime change masquerading as assistance. The US creates the circumstances for them to require aid then uses USAID as a weapon to keep them needing aid.
No one that's perceived as a threat to the current system will never be allowed any form of power within the system. Voting within the system rules is a setup for failure.
The biggest issue with that is that the Tea Party was an astroturf movement backed by Koch brothers. We already have enough big money in politics. And it would be more beneficial for everyone if the DNC simply dropped off the face of the earth and was replaced by a workers party.
Democrats stopped doing town halls years ago because they were getting the kind of backlash Republicans are getting now. I can't remember the number but I saw an article a few years ago saying Pelosi hasn't had a town hall in decades.
As goes California so does the nation. Shoving the LGBTQ community back into the closets has been in the works for about a decade. And we are seeing it will be bipartisan
