Refugee from another, less-friendly instance. Please forgive the youth of my account— I’ve actually been around here for a while. Still, glad to be here!

  • I heard this theory in the 80s, and I believe there have been in-jokes about it in the last 2 or 3 Daniel Craig Bond films. It’s likely head-canon for most Bond fans.

That’s why I think this I one of the best comments here.

  • Oooo

  • That’s a lot of words I’m not gonna read— but I don’t need your permission nor your approval to disagree with you.

And, since your patronizing tone has graduated to condescending, don’t bother replying. Nothing you have to say hold the value to me, so I’ll just downvote your comment without reading it.

    Enjoy voting for Trump.

  • Fascinating, but I’m not buying it.

    Still, well formed and fascinating.

Edit: this makes sense if you played Star Trek Online, and I’ll give OP a break for that, but most of the crazy stuff that would have supported this theory 6 years ago has been ironed-out in-canon. Even if it wasn’t done well.

Still, I really enjoyed the alt history version!

  • I just can’t countenance your open and blatant endorsement of cravenness and corruption running the DoJ. Oh, and your patronizing tone is nothing short of insulting.

If your best argument is that there’s no legal requirement to do this correct and just thing - the moral and ethical thing - you’ve only made yourself look as inept and corrupt as Gorsuch.

  • I cannot and do not, in any way, support - not agree with - your defense of this man.

The only fair application of justice is to be blind to anything but the facts of the crime and to properly adjudicate them in accordance with the law. No person who is too scared (or corrupt) to do the job of the top criminal prosecutor in this country should never hold the position.

    • water
    • ice cold whole milk
    • a bottle (and tumbler) of bourbon
  • Anyone who loves their country is no longer republican.

  • His cowardly inability to pursue justice fairly forces me to disagree with you here. He may have been better than the alternatives, but that hardly makes him any good at all.

  • “Right wing comic” just translates to bullying and bigoted jokes. That’s why the only gigs they can get is at bullshit hate-fests like a Nazi Trump rally.

  • He’s so terrified of anything appearing to be “political“, he will absolutely do nothing as long as the criminal is in some way politically connected.

  • The crazy stuff on Liquid Television

  • Reminds me of this

  • It also has the largest garage door on it.

  • You’re right it’s not the same. It’s much much worse.

  • There are, obviously, MANY other things to consider in this decision: the election, that sweet AIPAC money, and the absurd amounts of Dems who would be alienated because they think Israelis can do no wrong— keep in mind that there are plenty of Democrats who are still bitter about 9/11 and have no compunction about letting their Islamophobia shine bright under the guise of “the war on terrorism”.

And anyone with even the tiniest bit of political savvy would understand that Kamala would be much more free to do what she wants after the election.

It’s so horrifically frustrating is the moral absolutist who, despite the literally thousands of reasons why Trump winning would be so very much more horrible, they will do what they can to make sure he wins just because Harris didn’t say one thing they wanted.
