Refugee from another, less-friendly instance. Please forgive the youth of my account— I’ve actually been around here for a while. Still, glad to be here!

  • Then why did you say that he’d likely be out in time?

  • What wonderful news on such a stressful day!

  • Not really. Only the Democrats, who always have to be absolutely fucking perfect at all times, to get in trouble for such a benign comment. The Trump team have been literally goose-stepping around the country for the last year, and they have felt absolutely zero consequences for it.

None of the shit-for-brains neo-Nazis voting for Trump are going to suddenly say, “hold on, wait, this crosses the line!”

  • So he’s finally gone full crazy. And, I bet he’s found a whole new audience to exploit.

    Follow the money

  • How? After all of the hard work and death threats and fascism, you’d think the Republicans had this one in the bag!

  • In most jurisdictions, it’s nearly impossible to disbar a lawyer, unless they were complicit in the criminal activity of their client. That, alone, is pretty fucked up.

That’s why it took so goddamn long to disbar Rudy Giuliani.

  • From whom, Trump? The asshole who is infamous for never paying his lawyers?

  • I’ve been arrested before, and never was I out in fewer than 18 hours. That would not give him enough time to get back to the polls to vote.

  • Until the last decade or so, felons could not vote. Recently, several states have opened a pathway for felons to regain their right to vote.

  • They tried to disbar her, but in an appeals case, she managed to scrape by with extremely heavy sanctions.

  • For what it’s worth, most of those involved in Trump‘s frivolous 2020 election denial lawsuits have been disbarred.

  • Doesn’t matter. Go vote.

  • As long as they still plan on voting for him, this is performative bullshit.

  • Thanks for that worthwhile contribution. You really changed my mind.

  • I wouldn’t be surprised if what we learn from this election is how it wasn’t really close at all, and all of the polls were extremely wrong.

I’m basing this on the fact that more newly registered voters are voting this election than in decades, and all of the polls only account for “likely voters“ based on their registration and party affiliation without taking into account all of the new voters. Most of the new voters are likely to vote Democratic.

  • Considering the circumstances, that may just end up being the case.

  • Dr. Frankenstein had an assistant for that.

  • Something tells me that, being under arrest, he’s not gonna be allowed to vote.

  • Illinois allows felons to vote once they finished their sentence.
