  • In this fight, everyone loses. We just need to come out on top

  • Let the kids see us punch Nazis. I want as many kids as is possible to see me punching Nazis. Kids everywhere need to learn that Nazis and any form of fascism need to be dealt with appropriately. Teach your kids right, violence is the only answer to growing fascism.

  • I don't want to appease anyone who's "moderate." The US is right enough as it is. Especially now, if the US wants to recover from Trump, it needs to make a very aggressive and swift push to the left.

  • From space bird

  • That was around the time the campaign's approval peaked too, if I remember right. People liked when Walz called Republicans out and actually stated the obvious, but the DNC leadership decided after 2000 that they don't give a shit about what Democratic voters want; the DNC was already handing the country to Trump again long before Biden even dropped out.

  • If they jump, how will HR know when to adjust his punch and how to adjust payment and benefits for dying on the clock at the end of the pay period? Best to clock out and submit the timesheet first /s

  • Jesus Christ

  • "Be a Mechanical Engineer, then you get to hate nearly everyone including yourself." A Mech. Engineer told me this after we both had a really long day. If you pay attention to those guys, you'll find that they know more than most because they play the parts of Engineer, Tech, and Liaison

  • Hopefully you utilize Python instead of Excel for data management. Unless you have non-engineers or tech-illiterate people on your team or adjacent teams lol

  • You don't remember? It's still 2005, you just somehow took 4 full hits of DMT

  • Conservative dad with great fashion

  • I mean, you're right, but also OP's login is CharlesDarwin

  • The youngest boomers are 64 still. We may be done working with them in 10 years or so but they're stubborn. The ones still working then are the ones who never could win financially or are the ones who took advantage of everyone and never learned to stop.

  • Fun fact, many birds can and will hiss when they feel threatened. Parrots and some larger birds come to mind

  • I don't think it used to be that way, but it has always struggled with class disparity to different degrees. When the financial security and physical health of people are compromised, they're less likely to be progressive.

  • The fact is that non-voters either have more important things to do than vote or don't feel they'd make an impact if they did vote.

When countries, states, and localities encourage education, promote mental and physical well-being, provide ample opportunities and fallbacks for financial security, and make it convenient to vote, then people more likely to at least vote, and at most vote progressively.

Scarcity promotes apathy, which promotes conservatism.

  • Doctors that are likely to flee to Canada are very likely Doctors who care more about helping people than making money. This isn't the issue you should worry about in this context.
