Same here. I think it's hilarious to when I see posts along the lines of "I don't have time to play souls like" or "I want to enjoy games when I play. " I can boot up a souls like and play for 15 minutes or hours. They're so relaxing to me.
I agree 100% that women face many more dangers especially in the dating scene than men. I'm all for having resources available for them to remain as safe as possible.
I don't see how a Rate My Professor type app would work well for dates. I feel like people would only spend the time to rate poor dates. If you had a really good date with someone, you would presumably start dating them so why would you let everyone else know they are a good person to go out with? I have no doubt there are some awful people out there that others should be warned about, but this type of app is a bit too risky to justify that in my opinion.
The background check feature sounds much more legit, but I don't think a group chat feature needs to exist along side it.
All that being said, anyone enjoying the doxxing of others is just an asshole. There's definitely nothing fair about it from either side.
I'm all for groups of safe spaces for women. Especially when it's designed to keep them safe while dating. I have my doubts that Tea was that. Even if it was advertised as such, "tea" is slang for the word gossip. I've heard stories from several sources that it was used to dox people as well. Not saying what happened to the users is right. I think some users here are just feeling smug that this might cause the app to fail or shut down.

I believe every genre is filled with good and bad music. I used to think I didn't like country or reggae but it was really just the mainstream music of those genres I disliked. Mainstream country has a lot of stereotypical lyrics and mainstream reggae has a lot of slow single chord riffs. But after a bit of digging I found artists and songs that explore those genres in more unique ways.
You're not wrong. There may be legitimate reasons to turn down food. There are definitely other indicators which could be a tell as to whether they are truly needy or not. Their response to food is usually a big one, but shouldn't necessarily be the only thing to make judgements on.
There are a lot of homeless people that stand on the side of roads with signs asking for charity where I live. There is almost an equal amount of people who do it as a "job" and take turns being on shift with their buddies before they walk to a nearby parking lot and drive back home at the end of the day. They usually do not accept food if offered. Actual needy people will gladly take food. If I were to give cash to someone, I'd offer food first.
When I worked in retail, I'd have customers ask me to raise or lower the temperature in the store I worked at. "Of course!" I'd say and then disappear into the back area and play on my phone for a couple of minutes. I'd come back out and ask if it was starting to feel better, to which they'd reply, "I feel it working already, thank you!"
Seek and iNaturalist is for all animals and plants. They use your photos to track data about the species you take pictures of, mostly just where you found them. It also keeps track of all of the species you've found and gives you challenges to find certain species depending on where you are in the world. If the AI fails to identify something, your photo can be peer reviewed by other users.
