I come from reddit which is an extremely toxic place with all those mods abusing their power banning everyone almost for no reason, I hope this site gets obsolete once and for all

  • Tech nowdays is just a scam, there is no new tech to sell and they know it, I have a 16 years old laptop running on Linux and after a while the browser disabled my add ons without my consent because it said it was not sure they are safe, of course I worked around it and with a code added in the configuration settings the add ons were back again, so basically you can run a 16 year old laptop and browse the Internet just fine with no add ons popping up.

    There is no new tech for a long time now! So their only way to sell laptops and pcs is to scam you into thinking that your machine is just outdated because they say so, the same happens with motherboard chips and Microsoft, they are scammers

  • I remember not long ago showing my linux desktop on reddit and everybody was going crazy because I was still using Firefox and Chrome is the browser to use nowdays and all that crap, I guess times have changed for the better, and yes I still use firefox

  • In some extent this is true and correct, but when it comes to automate individual thought and creation then ethical problems arise which should be looked at and asserted carefully and with dignity, because there should be boundaries on how much automation can extent in human life, in the end humanity does not compete with anybody except itself, we are humans trying to live and most of all communicate with each other, Jobs are also a way to communicate and socialise but as we already saw they try to take that away in any way they can.

  • You are speaking bollocks, there are already many lawsuits by artists against the so called Ai engines, there are boundaries on how much you can copy from a specific artwork, logo, design or whatever, for example if you take the coca cola logo and slightly change it even if it doesn't say coca cola you will still face the laws of copyright infringement, nobody denies the existence of thieves, so that's why people do whatever they can to protect their work
