see c/UGEM for UnderGroundElectronicMusic. :) (I was going to set up something like that when saw someone else had already requested to make it. Good stuff. Populate it.)

  • Imagine not falling into the Orwellian hole, not perverting language with conflations and inversions.

Imagine "communism" was still used in the original sense as coined by anarchist political philosophers, at least 5 years before Marx ignored Bakunin and usurped it, stripped the freedom aspect, and handed it over to the tankies (and all the capitalists and imperialists gladly played along).

Imagine communism like Kropotkin and Bakunin would have meant it.

Fully decentralised. Maximally mutually freedom affirming.

Imagine people were so thoroughly availed education instead of indoctrination, and thus were immunized against such perversions of language and thought. Not confusing totalitarianism for [anarcho-]communism, nor fascism for democracy, just because some deceivers intentionally mislabeled them to usurp all power for themselves.

Imagine "democracy" really meant organised by the people, not re-presented by the oligarchs.

Imagine not falling into the Orwellian hole.

Imagine undoing generations of this deeply entrenched Orwellian corruption of language and thought.

  • Amen for [real] democracy.

Try be a dissident in democracy, and you're just doing more democracy.

  • Only considered it?

May want to check out what's happening in USA and UK.

  • Whether people want it or not is beside the point.

    It's a learning experience.

And please don't call me no one. I want it.

(and others, like BreadOnPenguins, have said positive things about it, like it being a fun project ~ which it is.).

    ;D

And, again, to the point, being capitalist or the code embarrassing, is not relevant criteria to releasing with a free software license.

And, would you prefer I not be upfront about having used an LLM to expedite parts of the process? ... Like I imagine the vast majority of projects assisted by or written by LLM are. Several of which you may be using without realising. I think it's more important to be forthcoming about that... and to not discourage people being forthcoming about that [nor discourage people learning]. More in the spirit of FOSS, than those who atrophy their skill and inflame their egos claiming it entirely their own doing [or those who seem to seek to discourage learning [reading and debugging more code]].

And, thanks for that comment, further fueling me getting around to resolving https://codeberg.org/Digit/fin/issues/58 too.

  • Hrmm.

I read that as resulting in 21.

My education system did fail me.

I plugged that into ghci as 2+5*(8-5), and it says 17.

    :(

    I did (2+5)*(8-5).

    Doh.

[Edit: (Double doh! Mistyped that here as 5+2. XD)]

  • Welcome to USA, I guess.

In other countries, you could probably completely fill a fridge with insulin for $800.

  • racist against Wookies? Lol when was that shown?

Like when she says something like "Would somebody get this big walking carpet out of my way?" and general demeanor in interactions and absence of interactions.

  • Stewart Lee did it better than my crude butchered mention of his little tirade.

  • Mhmm. Though Zorin's only one distro. And not a really well known one. Fun to speculate around all the unknown variables.

  • So... a few months before this, Linux had been noted to have just tipped 5% desktop market share...

What's it going to be like now? 6%? 10%!?

  • Y'all shuda been born around '74 to '94.

  • Expect idiocy.

  • [The new crap] Helps to reveal it never really was "good".

Helps to revisit the old stuff to start seeing the flaws...

The comedian Stewart Lee (not to be confused for the Steward Lee involved with Star Wars), had some astute observations in some interview, pointing out the confusion in it, like around princess Leia... She's a princess, but helping the rebels, but also racist against the wookie... XD

It's very freeing to realise how much it does not make sense, riddled with inconsistencies, a hodgepodge of ideas copied from far superior sci-fi, cinema, and literature.

  • Oh. Thanks. I wouldn't/didn't know. GNOME's insanity is even greater than KDE4's insanity. So insane (and anti-user) it overshadows its other flaws. I cant even bring myself to suffer it to find out its bloated.

Edit: Like, so far gone, I tend not even think of it any more.

Edit2: That's even more astonishing now that I think about it. They're heavier than KDE... KDE's heavy with purpose, availing so much configuration to the user. GNOME have managed to be heavyweight, how? By depriving the user configurability?! That's even more insane! Like genuinely, not just a flippant remark. The GNOME developers, need their minds examined, and offered help, to stop them being a harm to themselves and everybody. It's simply not sane.

Edit3: ... It's GNOME who have that guy who did time for over a thousand instances of kiddy fiddling, right? If that's right... like I say... there's something simply not right in their heads.
