  • He's got more years in him yet. Deaf as a post and has a gammy back left leg that was degloved somehow when he was 10 (and cost 6 grand to fix), but still able to jump up on counters and the like.

    As I recall, the oldest recorded cat was 38, so he has a way to go.

    I honestly won't be shocked if he has 5 more years in him at least, as he looks about 10 (and acts like it except for the incredibly loud mewling on account of being stone deaf). He has been treated like a prince.

  • The list doesn't back that up at all. There are loads of countries between the UK and US when you look at the numbers, and the UK isn't inextricably linked to health insurance to hold you captive. If you filter the table by number, US is 6th, UK is 101st.

  • That's wild. I get 35 days plus bank holidays plus 42 hours a year for when you need to take a few hours off at the end of the day or start a few hours late if you have other commitments.
