  • Not to be a killjoy but your basic mailman has a pretty low weight limit on the parcels they take.

  • "Never forget in the story of Jesus, the hero was killed by the state" - Killer Mike.

  • How dare you insinuate that JD VANCE KILLED THE POPE, there isnt a single shred of evidence that JD VANCE KILLED THE POPE. Id like to see anyone claiming or even hinting that JD VANCE KILLED THE POPE take their evidence straight to Interpol so that it can be disproven categorically by trained experts that JD VANCE KILLED THE POPE.

  • I watched Space Jam with my daughter last night.

Wow what a fucking turd. I remembered it so fondly too, in reality I think theres about 30 minutes of closeups on Michael Jordans face.

  • He didnt, the intent was to put it somewhere that everyone could and should access, a place of learning. No gatekeeping, no financial or age restrictions.

  • The book had a much better story for the first key.

  • Ok the article is really thin on details on how this works.

For the layman who understands the basics of internal combustion engines. Imagine that there is no "intake" in a traditional sense, just a sealed system being fed massive but precise amounts of compressed air from a 3300 psi tank. (Its actually more complex with valves and so on so you dont use the bottle until you're ready but lets not overcomplicate this)

Its kind of genius because a lot of energy goes into compressing the air into the tank but that isnt energy the car needs to produce in any way which is then stored as potential energy, when you release the air from the tank its around -30c (-20f) which means a denser charge in the cylinder and therefore a bigger bang from lower boost levels.

No mechanical drag on the engine from running a SC and no exhaust restriction from spooling a turbo, Its really clever.

  • If you're a government worker in a non allied country and an attractive stranger wants to touch your dingle, its a honeypot.

  • You mean after gold and diamonds essentially become worthless? A lot of people would definitely use it for medications.

  • Finding a brand of protein bar that you genuinely enjoy eating is a huge deal.

I have my preferred brand and when I have 1 or 2 I feel like I just had some chocolate bars, while its still a fair chunk of calories its also 50g of protein and not much fat or sugar.

  • I track my macros. I have a jar of Chilli Crisp and a jar of hot honey on hand at all times.

If I make my lean chicken tacos for dinner and Ive got a bunch of carbs left i put the hot honey on, if I have fats left over I use the Chilli Crisp, if Im running light on both just a small pinch of chilli powder.

  • Thats why Intermittent fasting works so well for some people. I'm great at absolutes, I can not eat way easier than I can just do small portions.

  • It sounds super counter intuitive but I recommend newbies weigh themselves multiple times a day for the first few weeks or months and write down the date and time of each new low (or use a tracking app) to get used to the idea that your weight fluctuates wildly throughout the day.

Just because you got a bad weigh-in doesnt mean the diet didnt do anything all week. A salty carb heavy meal last night (that was still within calories) can fuck up a weigh-in bigtime.

  • Creatine is LITERALLY the only supplement that almost everyone and every study agrees.

    1. Has a measurable physiological effect.
    2. Has next to zero side effects.
    3. Is incredibly cheap.
    4. Is universally beneficial for anyone training in almost every sport/activity.

Anything else the answer to "Should I take..." is at best "It depends" and in most cases "No". Its the only one if people arent taking it I'd ask "Why not?"

  • My favorite stupid unit of measurement is "A gram of protein per cm of height" for protein intake for very overweight people who have no idea what their lean body mass is or should be.

It sounds ridiculous but for 90% of people it puts you within 10% of correct and usually errs on the high side.

  • BCAA's are essentially bullshit 99% of the time because if you're getting adequate complete high quality proteins from food (including whey or quality plant protein shakes) they contain all the amino acids your body can use.

Honestly, the flavor is all down to the brand. But water just gets boring as shit if you're drinking a lot.
