  • Yes, you could also put it this way: the reason is that the US has not been a constitutional state for decades and that US citizens have allowed this to happen. Now the system is turning even against those who stood by and watched. The most absurd thing about all this is that there is still no repression like in a dictatorship, which is what it will ultimately lead to, and yet there is no significant civil resistance, even though injustice is already clearly prevailing. On the contrary, people still believe that they live in a constitutional state and that the rule of law, which is so obviously non-existent, will sort things out.

  • It must have been a spontaneous case of diarrhea when he realized that he might even be held responsible for the murder he had just committed. Perhaps in his panic, he briefly imagined that the US was a constitutional state and that his employers, with their plan to establish a dictatorship, were not yet far enough along to protect him – or that he was just a dispensable accomplice to his masters.

  • Yes, where can I get these pants?

  • This is bad news for the Republicans, because all this hatred is intended to distract attention from how shamelessly the elite is enriching itself at the expense of the country - and also from other crimes, such as those documented in the Epstein files.

If their voters also realize that hatred of foreigners and the wars waged by the regime are one and the same thing, they will really have a lot to explain...

  • Please don't get me wrong: I'm up for a laugh, but not for most of the stuff that 4chan finds funny because it's at the expense of others (exceptions are, of course, those people who are quite rightly targeted, such as Nazis or TV priests who only enrich themselves at the expense of their clientele).

  • Sure, it's just fun, and good fun at that. But I'm more concerned about people who are destructive. Of course, there's nothing wrong with a little teasing - quite the contrary, in fact. Harmless fun in particular should be monetizable because it is so entertaining for all involved.

  • Yes, yes, please don't misunderstand: a certain amount of trolling seems perfectly appropriate to me. I even believe that there are people who can hardly be dealt with in any other way. But I'm talking about trolling on this platform, where, in my opinion, there are relatively few absurd opinions that cannot be countered with arguments. Of course, there are also views here that run counter to rational thinking, but after more than two years here, it seems to me that most users, despite perhaps destructive views, are still somewhat reasonably willing to accept arguments (if not, in my opinion, it's best to simply ignore them).

I mean, fortunately, we're still quite a long way from reddit or even X or Truth Social here. So it seems to me that there is at least a willingness to discuss things here, which is why I can't really understand why anyone would want to undermine that. I'm not referring to you at all, of course, and I very much appreciate your answer - I completely agree.

I'm just trying to understand why even here there are apparently people who are bent on pointless confrontation. I just don't get that.

  • But a response doesn't mean they've won in any way...

It just means that someone has responded, nothing more. How can that be considered a victory?

Edit: Not me with the downvote btw - I don't get why ppl feel the need for that either, but that is a different topic.

  • So 4chan is ubiquitous? I had thought it was a self-reinforcing effect caused by completely degenerate people gathering on the same platform.

  • Please explain.

  • Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't know that. Well, the US president is also a pedo and not only does he not donate anything, but together with his billionaire friends, he ensures that those in need are made even worse off. Not that that excuses anything, but on a scale of despicability, these people seem to me to be even higher up.

  • The original is now in the public domain in most countries, but I think Barrie did a really good deed with it, because over the years, a not inconsiderable amount of money must have been raised. In the UK, the copyright still seems to apply due to an exemption.

Unfortunately, this is only possible to a limited extent today, as billionaires are now feeding their LLMs with copyright-protected material for profit and not paying a dollar for it. So today, the hospital would have had only a fraction of the revenue at its disposal.

    Brave new world...

  • Perhaps the idea is to pile up impeachment plans so high that they eventually collapse on their own and bury the criminal regime beneath them.

  • "Impeachment plans ramp up," "Democrats threaten legal action," "X slammed for Y" ... the consequences would certainly be devastating, if there were any ...

  • I think it will be a self-referential medium in which machines bombard each other with propaganda messages. Creativity and innovation will become increasingly rare, as people will hardly produce any content anymore because they can neither make a living from it nor gain recognition for their contribution. Hate speech and misinformation will be omnipresent.

In short, I expect the internet as a whole to develop similarly to Reddit or Twitter: away from free discussion and the exchange of information, toward a hellhole full of hate, disinformation and slop.

  • Well, that's true, and that's why US citizens are so absurdly exploited and ruled by a child molester who gets away with everything he does with impunity - this is the true American spirit.

  • Yes, under this regime, the US is no longer a constitutional state. And that is why I believe it is impossible to remove the regime by constitutional means. Some people point to the midterms and say that the president will then be a lame duck. That applies to presidents who abide by the law, but not to one who has no scruples whatsoever. Waiting to see what happens will only give the orange child molester more time.

  • I'm sorry for your people, but the statement still stands. Life will only get worse for all people who are not white - and even for white people, as long as they are not rich. Unfortunately, that's how it is with tyrants.

  • Organize a general strike. Bring the country to a standstill until you get rid of this regime while you still can. Don't put it off and don't complain because it causes you economic difficulties. The reason is simple: if you don't act now, you will end up in a dictatorship - and then things will get much worse.
