  • I'd like for something like that to be sponsored by the EU

  • We need to develop an open, modular or all-in-one NAS with easily enabled services like Jellyfin, Navidrome, Paperless, Home assistant and so on.

With IPv6 we could avoid having to deal with CGNAT, but that could be solved as well.

  • They didn't say all at once!

  • Just resist the urge to download everything at max quality. Some movies don't need to be 4k, HD is enough.

  • Yeah but only in non-striping RAID. I had one of those fail after less than one year, RAID5 saved me from data loss.

  • There's Feishin that can connect to Jellyfin or Navidrome, on Android I use Symfonium

  • I mean, disposable vapes can be repurposed as servers, it's just a matter of how much compromises you're willing to make

  • They need to drop the prices of the games too

  • Steam Tank is right there

  • It used to be that your ISP included subscription for newsgroups, etc in the connection costs.

  • Italy getting repeatedly eliminated from the world cup is one of the best things that happened to this country in the last years

  • Italian here. Plural would still be Volta, because it already is in a sense. Now, for the actual words "volta" meaning vault, arch, and "volta" meaning "time" (as in "that time we did that"), then the plural is "volte".

  • 90's shooters taught me that the ideal amount of weapons to carry is 9, with a 10th one ideally becoming available at the end of your adventure

  • Most Linux distros contain proprietary packages, it's one of the reasons why for example Fedora isn't considered beginner friendly, they don't ship proprietary stuff so it doesn't have codecs, etc by default.

  • gog.com of course! They do a lot of work to make sure old games work on new platforms.Proton is probably a good option as well.

  • All the Command and Conquer gamesDungeon KeeperCarmageddonI'd say Civ 3 but I don't think modern ones require strong hardwareBaldur's GateIt's not 20 years old but Tyranny is a great RPG

  • I think I did in fact first use it on my PIII 450MHz running win 98 maybe in 2000 or 2001. It feels like it must have been before 9/11.

  • In MY old truck, which I rarely got into the water because the water near where I live would have carried me away, the lowest electrical components in the cabin would have been on top of the center console. Well, if you exclude the courtesy lights in the doors. And while I didn't get it in the water often, I knew plenty of people who did, we had a brand fan club.

Unfortunately my offroading days are long behind me, so I don't know what's the norm today.
