  • No. Qwant always used its own index but it used Bing in addition as their own index wasn't finished. However, since 2025 it only uses Staan, the index developed in cooperation with Ecosia.

    I mean, I get that the show could feel a bit slow and light in the first two seasons sometimes. But on the other hand, the first thing it does is introducing Picard's perfect foil as the new commanding officer by questioning Picard and his role during the Borg crisis.Most interesting start of any Trek show if you ask me.

    Also the themes the show worked with, the character developement, even the continuation and expanding of TNG topics like Klingon and Ferengi culture and society.

    Deep Space 9 was peak Star Trek in so many other ways, who cares they're not on trek? By that measure, ENT would probably rank highest. Or even worse, Voyager.

  • Some models are showing 40°C+ for most to all of Germany on sunday, and even the models that tend to be a bit too low show mid 30s. I am living off hope those predictions are off and there's a chaotic factor not accounted for yet.

  • We do have the Filmförderung in Germany giving out government subsidies for movie productions, but the execution and distribution is ass. For example, almost every Hollywood movie with some scenes shot in Germany is partially financed by this programme just to get them to shoot here.

    I don't know many other places where viewers could relate much to a reading of the Constitution of the United States.

    I've really come to despise the US's dominance to quasi-monopoly on movie and TV entertainment in western cultures. I want to see other perspectives, different cultural influences.
