  • We just upgraded to induction and wouldn't go back to resistive. But most people don't because induction is 2-3 times as expensive as a resistive heat range, and the resistive is 'good enough' for most people.

  • Yep. In the ltt video today nirav said the official one is only for 8x lanes, but someone is working on a 4x + 4x implementation so you can have a GPU and another card.

    So increasing to pcie 5.0 would double the throughput again. (Compared to thunderbolt or pcie 4.0x4)

  • Idk about that. Electric cars have been half the price to drive and people still buy gas cars due to the 'inconvenience' of long charge times on road trips.

  • Raid 6 takes longer to rebuild but not twice as long, more like 45-50% longer. And raid 5 can't tolerate another drive failure during the rebuild. With new drives I do use raid 5 (z1), but with used drives I'd want that extra assurance.
