  • Oh I know about Paint Tool SAI 2, the version I'm using is 1.1.0 of SAI 1, which is pretty ancient haha.

  • For drawing, definitely Paint Tool SAI! When I began drawing digitally, a friend gifted me two programs for me to use, Illustrator and Paint Tool SAI. I ended up settling on the latter. It is a very old program that got released in 2008, but it is lightweight, fast, stable, and has really good blending and pen stabilization options!

  • If during the day, I'll call someone on my mobile, do work out in the garden/yard, or read. If during the night, I'll browse the internet on my phone, play on my Nintendo Switch, or go to sleep if it's already late. I have many sources of backup lighting in the house including a couple dynamo powered torches that you wind up.

  • Hehe, thank you! 😃

  • I draw! 😊

  • How much I've improved with my art.

  • Digital 2D art drawn in Paint Tool SAI 1! I've been using that program for as long as I've been drawing digitally and honestly wouldn't settle for anything else. I don't typically draw everyday, only when I'm in the mood for it. To get ideas I'll try doing random rough sketches and see what I vibe with, othertimes I can get inspired by movies, videogames or anime!

  • During the Winter months, I mostly just wear the same pajamas I do during the Summer. I tolerate the cold way better than I tolerate anything at 20°C and above. It's also a great time of the year for soups, stews, and hot chocolate! ☕

  • "Hate" is a strong word, but I very much dislike it when a website that I can access on my computer only allows phone users to actually use it, or when certain features of a website are hidden for desktop users but available for phone users, such as Instagram Stories. I just don't agree with desktop/laptop users being restricted or offered the barebones version of a website considering that the internet has existed long before smartphones were a thing.

  • Lemmy, because I like the community, the way you can post things, and the interface.

    Tumblr, for posting art

Newgrounds, both for posting art and also for posting on the BBS about videogame and art related topics!

I don't really count Discord as a public social media platform in my case, since I only use it to directly message close friends of mine and I never do anything else with it. When I say "social media" I'm typically referring to public platforms like the ones listed above, rather than an app I use to privately message friends.

  • Art.

  • I put off joining social media for a long time, and after discussing it with friends, I changed my mind and joined a whole bunch of different websites at the beginning of this year. I've been having such a good time with it so far and I've met so many really nice people! 😃 Though I will admit it is a bit addictive LMAO

  • Hi!

AI generated images are largely looked down upon in the art community as these models rely on millions of pieces of art taken without the consent of the affected artists for their output. Moreover, they cannot be copyrighted.. On some websites, AI generated images fall under the rule against art theft, meaning that uploading AI generated images could get your account restricted or even banned.

Drawing can be super fun, and the benefit of drawing over prompting is that you can draw something to look exactly how you want it to look, in the style that you want it to look. There are a plethora of YouTube channels that can help you learn how to draw, and I'm here if you would like any advice on drawing something specific!

Commissioning an artist to draw for you is another option, there are a lot of amazing artists out there who all have their own style, so take a look around and see which of their styles vibes with you!

  • Airports, train stations, and cafes.

Airports are rather formative to me, as well as train stations for much of the same reason, and both airports and train stations have cafes, or at the very least the ones I've visited typically do. There's nothing quite like the vibe of being at an airport at 7 AM on a sunny morning about to embark on a journey into the wide blue yonder while the scent of coffee pleasantly floods your olfactory system.

  • I didn't know about that but that was interesting to read about and now I know what it's called, thank you! 😃

    • The way I pronounce the word "sorry" as well as my inflection whenever I'm speaking. Only my close friends whom I speak to in private know what my voice sounds like.
    • There are words I've made up that I jokingly use around friends. An impostor would not know about this as I speak to my friends privately and I never join chat servers, where bad actors could be eavesdropping. A wrong answer or "I don't know" would out them as an impostor.
    • My art. I will deliberately make "mistakes" in my art that are subtle enough to not be seen by most people, but I will be able to tell if someone is trying to copy it. Map makers do something similar.
    • Other random details only my friends know about that'd immediately out an impostor once asked.

  • The feeling of being loved.
