  • A hybrid has all the same ICE components with the addition of the generator and battery pack so it's not surprising that it would be heavier than the pure ICE counterpart. These kits will be replacing old iron block engines (along with the other aforementioned drivetrain components) with a small aluminum engine and generator. Even if they are a bit heavier, these are old trucks with poor aerodynamics where a few hundred pounds isn't going to make much difference in the grand scheme of things.

  • These conversions replace the entire drivetrain so you'd be losing the weight of the V8, transmission, transfer case, and drivelines and replacing them with a little 4 cylinder engine, generator, and batteries.

  • Counterpoint to this is that you may be in a dead instance that doesn't do updates or get maintained properly. You might sign on one day to find that you can't load any posts because the server is down or overloaded.

  • Adaptive Lighting is pretty nice. You can set it to adjust the brightness and/or light temperature throughout the day and even setup a "nightlight" setting for overnight.

  • A lot of the Chinese smart bulbs can be controlled through Home Assistant. The ones that are almost universally unsupported are the Feit Electric brand.

  • I mostly use custom built RGB lamps running WLED which are controlled by Home Assistant and the Adaptive Lighting integration which adjusts the brightness throughout the day based on the position of the sun. I do have a couple Govee lights that are controlled in the same manor as well.

  • Whats a fake assertion? This thing doesn't need to completely revolutionize the industry or replace existing products completely to be viable and useful for some. I personally think it's a neat idea even though I have zero use for a portable device outside of my phone. I seriously can't comprehend why people seem to be getting outraged in the comments here over something that has zero effect on them or their life whether it exists or not.

  • Yeah they're directly responsible for the path we've been on for decades now. They pretend to be an opposition party but are really acting like controlled opposition. This is why even now as people are being illegally sent to El Salvadorian death camps, we get little more from Dems than "concern" and angry letters.   • No worries, it is just my internal frustration with Nvidia coming out in my comment. It could be a good device if it weren't abandoned by them years ago while that fact seems to be lost in their current pricing. There isn't really anything comparable on the market, but I don't think it's worth the price in it's current form.
