  • ... Feels strange knowing it's all over, though.

I think it's a sign that there's going to be a significant reboot coming soon. After so much time had passed, it seems odd to have spent the time and energy to put out this final comic for what had effectively been an abandoned project. If Valve's putting money back into the game, then it stands to reason that they have upcoming plans for it. I wouldn't be surprised if they announce TF3 (or TF2:E1, knowing Valve) or some other spin-off in TF2's universe.

  • I dunno about that, I wouldn't even put it in the top 10 stupidest things that have happened in America this week.

  • Stop swearing!

    ...

    ...

Oh, sorry, looks like it's been denied.

  • Referring to working-class people as "snitches" is precisely what I mean. The rich want us to turn against each other, and you're playing right into their hand by calling them snitches and class traitors and the like.

  • Infighting, exactly what the upper class want out of us. Thanks for stoking the fire for them.

  • Definitely the Ocarina of Time intro for me. It was the first game to give me a real sense of adventure as a kid, and that theme song remains forever burned into my memory.

  • Is that not how this is already being implemented?

  • It only seems like a deal because the in-store prices are artificially inflated to begin with.

  • Hadn't considered that! Sad that that's probably the most viable option if I needed to get it again.

  • I've got cluster headache. Only medication that had any noticeable effect was Prednisone. Not even that expensive of a drug, but more than I could afford out of pocket. Insurance wouldn't cover it because they considered an oxygen mask to be a more appropriate treatment, even though I'd been using them for months with no improvement, and O2 only works for a small percent of people with cluster headache, anyway.

Couldn't afford to get the meds. Not legally, at least. A coworker was taking Prednisone for a different condition, and managed to convince his doctor to double his dosage, and I paid him for the difference, until he stopped taking it altogether. Ended up having attacks again, and missed enough work because of them to get fired. Between the pain and losing my job, that was easily one of the lowest points in my life.

I wouldn't wish our healthcare system on my worst enemies.

  • Weird seeing you again, and seeing you say this, after you quickly resorted to name-calling over a disagreement in another thread just 20 minutes ago. Do you really not think that you're a member of the half you refer to? I'm not so sure you actually want "diversity of opinions" or "normal people" if that's been your response so far.

  • Stick to music, Elton.

  • Who do you think suggested the idea to them? $10 says Elon directed Russia straight to a backdoor. He's been itching to see Ukraine fail this whole time, I wouldn't put it past him to directly interfere in such a way.

  • You mean that a company that treats humans as commodities isn't deeply affected by the death of one person? Wow, who would've guessed?!

These shit-suckers aren't going to change their ways until they're legally required to. Kill all the CEOs you want, but it won't change anything. You have to fix the legislation that allows these ghouls to fester and thrive in the first place.

  • 99.99% of the people willing to buy an emotional support robot for their children will have no idea what the words you said even mean.

  • Let them fight.

  • I don't know all the details, but I know they had basically unlimited break time, as well as free therapy/counseling. The pay was also pretty decent, especially for a job that didn't require physical labor or a specialized background.

They did have a pretty strict vetting process, because it was apparently not uncommon at all for people to apply to the job because they were either eager to see abusive content directly, or had an agenda they might try to improperly influence what content gets seen. Apparently they did social media deep dives that you had to consent to, to apply.

  • Lots of foods have misleading cultural backgrounds. Chicken tikka masala, for instance, was invented in Glasgow.
