  • I think this is a rare instance where eating the onion actually fits the /c/ :)

  • I'm of the same thinking; if there are things that you can't eat for health reasons, then you should check any food that you didn't prepare, yourself.

    Trust, but verify.

  • It is a very US unit, yes.

  • It is exactly one half of two meters.

  • There are pee cleaning solutions available. I've never had to use them, but I know people that have passed tests with them.

Can confirm, I've used them a few times. It's always best to go clean for as long as possible before getting tested, but I've had success with as little as 3 days notice.

People often think these products are scams because they're marketed like woo medicine. But that's because they have to be, they legally can't just put "THIS IS SO YOUR STONER ASS CAN PASS A DRUG TEST" on the label, so they have to sell it as a BS "cleanse".

I've only had a few people ever tell me that they didn't get it to work. But, those were people who I probably wouldn't trust to follow the directions printed on a bottle, in the first place. Just stay clean for a few days and follow the instructions exactly as they're written, and it'll work out, in my experience.

Worst case scenario is that you'll have a "dilute" result and will need to re-test a few days later. Do the same process the second time, and chances are you'll come out as dilute again. Generally, if you test as dilute twice in a row, they assume that's just your normal baseline and it's considered a pass. I've never heard of anybody coming back dilute twice and ever needing a third test, nor have I heard of anybody failing a test over dilute results.

  • Winter. I've never handled the heat well and it feels like there's always something I'm allergic to during the rest of the year, so I've never really been an outdoorsy guy. But there really is something special about being by yourself in the woods on a sunny winter day. Most of the animals have either migrated or hibernated, and the snow completely absorbs the noises from the outside world. It's honestly kinda magical, just getting to appreciate the cold stillness of the world, with the only sounds being the gentle crunch of snow under your feet and trees rustling in the breeze. It feels like taking a glimpse into a world before sentient life existed. Or after sentient life existed.

    God, I love winter.

  • That ping, tho.

  • I found no mention of it in their About/FAQ pages, so I'm assuming it's all proprietary code.

  • I feel like I'm out of the loop with this Saddam thing.

  • Print up his name, face, title, and quote on every billboard in Florida. Let them know exactly what sort of people they align themselves with.

  • A site run by an idiot, it seems. From their FAQ:

Is Flibbar decentralised? Yes and no, at present it's 90% decentralised. We don't police speech, but we will oversee the platform to ensure nothing illegal is posted on our site. We aim to eventually migrate to Web3 and use AI to oversee the site to ensure nobody crosses the line. However, Rome wasn't built in a day, and your continued support will enable us to reach this goal sooner. In the meantime, until this migration has been completed, we will have to continue to remain admins to ensure this site isn't abused by bad actors and criminals, or anything that would make us legally liable.

I don't think he has any idea what "decentralized" means, because his answer to that question only references moderation, not decentralization.

  • I've never heard of Flibbar until this post. From where I'm standing, you're their best advertiser!

  • I've read the post, and I'm still unhappy with their decision. Capitulation only accelerates fascism.

  • Implying there's anything worth pirating on Netflix these days.

  • These ads will most definitely not be generated on-the-fly; too risky and too costly. They'll be pre-generated and pre-approved AI-generated videos.

Imagine a collection of videos like that AI Coca Cola commercial (but for a soon-to-be-cancelled Netflix series instead of a soda), with a dozen different versions of it made for each "user archetype" Netflix identifies. That's going to be how Netflix implements this.

  • Our problem will quickly be everyone's problem if this isn't dealt with soon.

  • No, it's true! The cat's already got recruiters putting job offers in her inbox.

  • It's not an LLM, at least one of the accounts you're referring to. The person you're talking about has a fetish, and they like telling fake stories about unusually-sized non-sexual body parts. They have a few accounts on Reddit on 9gag where they do the same thing. There's a few different versions of their disfigurement that they tell, but they're all fake and by the same guy.
