  • No.

But no Republicans will be harmed.

  • I cannot tell you how many omnivores have set about lecturing ME on water usage related to almonds when they found out I was vegetarian. At least one time was while they were literally eating a cheeseburger.

For one thing, my household doesn't use all that much almond milk, but I guess many omnivores assume that vegetarians or vegans eat nothing but salad and tofu and guzzle almond milk.

Anyway, being a vegetarian has placed me in the center of some rather very bizarre conversations from people that are completely ignorant about not only nutrition (I mean how many fucking times can one hear the "but where do you get your protein?" question), but about their own diet's implications...specifically to things like fuel and water usage and the pollutants it creates...

Maybe I'll get worried about almond milk's water consumption if meat and dairy becomes a scarce thing. Until then, I'm not really taking the bait on what I consider is a lot of concern-trolling, especially while meat and dairy production doesn't show any signs of slowing down.

  • Thanks. For a fleeting second, when I first saw the headline, I thought it was that other Naomi, Naomi Wolf, haha.

  • I think I remember hearing the Pod Save America guys saying that the more tiny-d donnie is in the headlines, the worse he tends to poll. I assume that drags down others in his shit party, too.

The minute he's out of the headlines, the more brainless Americans tend to forget how fucking awful he is.

If he's in the forefront of everyone's minds all the time, I hope it blows huge holes in Republican support this election. :)

  • These people are the worst types of people.

  • Oh, that's right, I forgot all about them being Catholic.

I used to know a radical evangelical that would say all kinds of stuff I would just be dumbstruck by - one was that even though he was raised Catholic and most of his family was still Catholic, he not only thought Catholics were not "real" xtians, but that they were "pagans" (his word for pretty much every person not a Southern Baptist, including atheists and other xtians).

Now, I happened to remember all the invective Jack Chick aimed at Catholics with his comics, but I never thought I'd hear an adult repeat this kind of thing.

Also, I had recently read Robert Anton Wilson's rather tongue-in-cheek comparison of Catholics to paganism, due to all the saints and so on...

I did ask this particular individual if he thought he'd even know what xtianity was if it wasn't for Catholicism....I don't remember his answer. IIRC, it was utterly incoherent....

  • I think Loomer has brain damage or something, but Jigsaw should probably know that if they were to actually go that hard, that Jews would be targeted by that point.

They almost always do. Doesn't matter if she considers herself one of the "good ones".

  • Don't know about this law, but didn't he work for her?

  • Hm, FT seems to be one of the few sites where the usual tricks (archive, unwall, reader mode) don't work.

  • Sinema is almost a textbook example of why I don't really value representation as necessarily a measure of things that will move things forward.

She supposedly ticks so many boxes that should have given her all these progressive bona fides (at least among people that tend to fall for identity politics stuff):

She's a woman, relatively young, who claims to be bi, is an out atheist, AND she's vegan?! How exciting. I'm especially keen on the last two things.

Well, spoiler alert, it turns out she was a total shit show for progress. Given the choice, I'd take an eighty-some year old white straight male who eats lots of meat and dairy and goes to church all the time, BUT votes for progressive policies...people on our side really, really need to work on looking beyond the surface-level bullshit.

Oh, and ahem - she started out in the Green Party. If people wonder why I give them so much side-eye. Here's what she's been up to lately, according to Wikipedia:

    Career after elected office

In January 2025, Sinema joined Coinbase's Global Advisory Council to advocate for the cryptocurrency industry and help it coordinate with US lawmakers.[39][40]

In March 2025, Sinema joined the law and lobbying firm Hogan Lovells as a senior advisor.[41][42]

In October 2025, Sinema failed in an attempt to lobby the city council of the Phoenix suburb Chandler, Arizona to allow the development of an AI data center.[43] Earlier in the year she founded and became the co-chair of the AI Infrastructure Coalition.[44]

Sinema has since become a strong advocate for the Make America Healthy Again Movement and ibogaine.[45]

She's also a poster child for the horseshoe theory, JFC.

  • LOL, the same people that fell for Qanon's "Save the Children" voted for a pedophile to get into office, so he could ATTACK the children.

Oh, and to also cover up the Epstein files...

  • I wonder how much the "manosphere" influenced their vote for the pedophile-in-chief.

I mean, did these people not see all the Karens with their "Mass Deportation Now" and "Send Them Back" signs?

What did they think those signs were about, after all? Did they think these Karens were really going to make a distinction? Did they think those that are the most ecstatic about this kind of thing, like Stephen Miller, would?

  • It's weird to see people that were soooo galvanized by this shit, especially during donnie's first failed term, and were on Parler, deep in the Pizzagate thing, then the Qanon thing, bought into the "save the children" psyop, etc.

I mean, for some, it's nearly all they wanted to talk about during Covid. And during the run-up to the 2024 election. It was practically their identity.

Only to have all that excitement fizzle out.

It's kind of like talking to birthers. So many of them were just so sure that somehow, all their endeavors to "expose" Obama because the "liberal media" didn't "properly vet him" (lol) was going to mean he was going to be impeached in his first term. Or at least, the voters wouldn't be fooled the second time. And then he had two terms.

Same thing: suddenly the birthers are almost nowhere to be found. These days, trying to find someone that will admit (at least in public) to being into Qanon or being a birther, is about as hard as finding someone that voted for W sometime after 2008...it's almost like the conservatives are great at falling for complete horseshit, never learning anything, and never owning up to it.

  • Well, they constantly trot out George Soros.

  • Haha. They are still GRRRRR so mad about Hunter.

I think it was Adam Mockler just recently debating some conservative chud and that guy brought up the "Hunter Biden laptop" and how the government put their thumb on the scales when it came to having that just run wild on the platforms of Facebook and Xitter, etc.

They are still SO butthurt that their bullshit story about a hard-drive, excuse me, "laptop" was not the October Surprise that they meant it to be.

You can tell that many of them probably literally cried about it at the time that Biden won despite the "laptop". They seem to have emotional scars about it and they feel personally attacked that their ratfucking with the "laptop" didn't work out. I bet some of these people - this guy was probably in his twenties - will still be talking about that stupid "laptop" 50 years from now.

  • Also, what Hunter is accused of is a rounding error compared to the towering amount of fraud donnie and his family are doing.

But since he has the last name of "Biden" he should be punished just for being an obvious beta-cuck. And of course people like Marge were clearly obsessed with his dong.

  • Which dem? You talking about Howard Dean or something else?
