  • I was pleased to learn that cons are getting targeted again for their own choices and of course they are salty about it. "How dare you bring politics into this!" they squeal as everyone is suffering for their fucking choices. They don't give a fuck if ICE is tackling gardeners and disappearing them, but now that they might be getting harmed by their golden god-emperor's trade war...now they suddenly want to be "apolitical"

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMllr6Vs_aM

Also, the idea of being able to track where your food comes from, is a great one.

Those that voted for donnie, but now don't want to admit it, act like the people they are asking for support should be "purple" - meaning that people should ignore what conservatives fucking voted for and support them even if they were full-on "maga" ranchers that were calling for things like mass deportation.

    https://bluedotfarms.org/

  • Fair enough, although it would not surprise me if at least someone in his admin thought that, at worst, the corporations would get the benefit, if donnie's accomplices were not able to get away with this aspect of their smash-and-grab agenda, and hell, that's part of the conservative schemes - benefiting corporations over people.

  • I have people in my family that said they voted for him in 2016 because they thought he was going to make childcare free or something. I tried to explain that not only is that not a conservative thing, but also that he's a total fraud.

  • Well, in the run-up to his first election a decade ago, you had a lot of the Tone Police and the Murc's Law Media gaslighting people and labeling anyone trying to warn America about donnie as "hysterical".

Same set of idiots did more or less the same thing in the run-up to 2024, claiming that his first term "wasn't that bad", I guess because he was not literally Hitler.

  • Conservatives: unsubscribe.

  • Where are all the BUT MAH FREEZED PEACH morons?

  • American has a huge undertow of anti-intellectualism. Especially on the right, there are a lot of Americans that have this attitude that their "common sense" trumps actual expertise, knowledge, education, credentials, etc., and this childish attitude of "you cannot tell ME what to do" to go with it. This last part, even though they are herded into this thinking, they often confuse with rugged individualism or something, LOL.

And the republicons have done a lot to make him an expert that you are supposed to hate.

  • They never mean anything they say, and all their "principles" are just bullshit. They never cared about your freedom of speech. I bet a sizeable amount of BUT MAH FREEZED PEACH asshats would be ecstatic if Jimmy Kimmel were to be given a death sentence for offending the republicons.

  • I can imagine all kinds of idiots falling for this, even if legally questionable and he's about as likely to come through as he did for his promises on child care in 2016....

I have someone in my family that said they were voting for him in 2016 because of his child care promise. I often think of that when I reflect on him and Pence and other idiots in his camp all repeating that slogan and getting their republizombies to parrot it: "promises made, promises kept".

  • It's so weird how the cons don't seem to really care about trying to appeal to normal Americans with their plots and schemes to fuck everyone over, er, "platform".

All they seem to focus on is ways to rig and to cheat at elections.

  • I used to hear some people call it the Faux Cinematic Universe. Which will continue long after donnie is gone.

Unless people finally find the spine to arrest them and break up that company...

  • Well, maybe not like their lives depend on it, but the window of time for them to do their smash-and-grab is not going to be infinite.

Either other cons will shut them out of it because they are jealous or this shitty admin will have to at least leave office, and his family may have to flee the country.

  • Well, the "crackdown" on factual history should be the crime, yes.

I'm just saying the usual connotation when the word "crackdown" is used is that they are cracking down on something that is criminal.

  • Yeah. It's kind of annoying to know that there are real conspiracies out there. Proven ones.

And because they exist and many people know about the real cases, right wing crazies can declare things like "the difference between conspiracy theory and conspiracy fact is about six months" and have others consider that true and profound. It's absolutely maddening.

There is a world of difference between the people jerking off to Q and Pizzagate nonsense and what the Church Committee found, for example. A lot of lazy morons think that because Epstein exists - a man known for his crimes prior, by the way - that it somehow vindicates things like Q and Pizzagate.

  • Again, it very much WAS great. Virtually every metric pointing in the right direction. Especially after recovering from all the disruption due to a worldwide pandemic.

If people thought the Democrats were gaslighting them by highlighting the upside and instead went by the anecdotal while thinking the Democrats did not care that not everyone was doing well, and thought that sitting out or voting Republican was going to help them, then that's their problem.

We are suffering the consequences because many chose to go by vibes instead of data.

  • If they update the language level requirements, that may help.
