  • Why would he?The Supreme Court legalized anything he does as an official act.If he issued an executive order that all federal employees must use his hotel chain when travelling he can't be investigated for Emoluments clause violations, Misappropriation of funds, Federal Procurement Violations, etc as it was an official act which he receives absolute immunity for.

    I live in an older town about 700 miles from the ocean, they recently restored our courthouse with a new copper roof to replace the one from 1824 and it had a green patina in less than a year.I don't think salty air is a requirement for patina, just oxygenation.

  • Getting upset over this is so draining, especially because there’s nothing we can do to stop him in the short term.

    For me personally, I think the most draining part of the whole thing is that nothing was done to stop him in the 4 years he was out of power.1,461 days, all of them spent listening to people talk about how horrible it would be if he got back into power, and yet absolutely fucking nothing was done in that time to prevent the horrible things we were warned about from happening.

  • Don't respond. Anyone who feels the need to express that is just looking for a reaction. Don't indulge them. When people genuinely dislike someone they tend to only interact with them when absolutely necessary, so if they're volunteering the information without being prompted it's only for a reaction.
