The same people who do that think quite differently after a year of civil service in a refugee shelter camp, caring in a geriatric station for people with ~no family or providing food for the homeless. It changes you. In a good way, you get to see a wholly different perspective of society, and this perspective is sorely missing with so many people. 😢
Feels like macbooks need every square mm of aluminium surface area hence less ports, as they barely manage to not reach autoignition temperature. Likewise plenty laptops with metal shells seem to use them as their ground, being too cheap for one tiny wire, and hence the case will slowly retain charge over a long day and you get this weird scratchy/jittery feeling when touching the case. Because ground is haaaaard.
And such shit in laptops costing thousands of euros. Fuck.
As someone from a country where I was the last year to do that.... eh. I dunno. The military service, sure, fuck that. But the alternative if you didn't want to do that was 1 year of working as a helper in the medical or caretaking field, and those people are missing. It'd be better if everyone just had to do a year of caregiving. It gives you a lot of perspective and is a really good experience, anyways.
You're looking at the wrong conclusions tbh. That Trump has not lost 50%-90% of voters really tells you all you need to know. America is fucked if these people are genuinely allowed to vote...

Of course, but despite people saying this for years, 50%+ voted for Trump. Clearly the majority of US voters thinks it is healthy behavior to do this. After all, "Hate, the Echo Chamber" is essentially the Republican agenda nowadays.
